So to start i think this album is the best body of work scott put out so far, i loved lonely boy and via crucis but i feel this album had a set message and progression throughout it that made it easy to listen to and flow despite there being 59 tracks/3 hours of playtime, from the numerous voicemails from his father, mother, brother, and the conversation between shai lebouf that spans throughout the whole album, these small things really bring the whole project together and take you into his world, it’s definitely one of those albums that’s not for everybody but if you’ve stuck with scrim through his last 2 projects you’ll understand this sound he’s been going for and enjoy it, the biggest thing people need to understand is this isn’t suicideboys it’s scrim, it’s about growth and finding oneself, some notable tracks i’d like to point out are claymore, range, unbelief, calabasas, and comfortably numb, all of these have immense depth to them and show scrims vulnerability to a T, ofc there’s plenty more to point out, i enjoyed the whole album and plan on listening to it all year and probably throughout the course of my life, coming from being 15 and hearing the boys for the first time to moving to his music it feels as if we’re all growing together and it’s very poetic and beautiful, i hope you all fully listen to it and don’t just skip around, the project is immaculate, and congrats to sage and scrim for the pregnancy announcement i hope everything goes well.
