DISCUSSION Somerset rant
Was at the north gate for early access VIP and was at the front of the line at the Somerset show tonight. There was there guys in cowboy hats, two older women, like 40s, and a few other teenagers that were just absolutely outrageous. They kept yelling “penis” and we’re chanting it, kept drinking more, and at one point one of the women started trying to get into the gate while everything was delayed. It was gross lol. The other one was foaming at the mouth. Everyone was just being disrespectful and had zero spacial awareness for anyone. It was disgusting and made me feel ashamed to be a part of the g59 gang. I don’t like associating with people who are disrespectful. I feel like that’s how most of the crowd was tonight. Even in the pit there were multiple fights. Such a weird night. We need refunds. Pic of Scrim so I don’t get lost in the algorithm

DISCUSSION no we dont hate christians, stop putting words in our mouths please
been scrolling for awhile over here and... damn, too many people trying too hard to make us (as in SB fans who dont fully fuck with the new material) look like immature, drug abusing christian haters. every other post is just a (id assume) christian fan going ''why do you hate christians???'' and +90% of the replies are ''we dont, we are happy they are better in life, heres my personal reasons as for why I dont like the new stuff'' to which then yall go ''well if you dont like it LEAVE!! FAKE FAN!!!''. at most theres one to two replies throwing shade at christians and not even on every post.
is it really THAT hard to understand that we are allowed to not like something and politely discuss about it? and that not liking it doesnt instantly make us immature/junkies/antichristians? like honest question. too many people in here are sooooo hellbent on making it a religion thing when it aint, some even sound like theyre just here bc theyre christians now and nothing else, it feels odd.
TLDR: we are allowed to not like things and discuss them without yall calling us fake fans/christian haters/immature and so on. please stop this weirdass cultish witchhunt.

DISCUSSION what’s with the god stuff so suddenly in the last two albums
I want to start by saying I am so happy for ruby and scrim for getting clean, and happy they have found a religion that works for them. i’m in recovery from heroin addiction along with other drugs myself, but i am not religious at all and never have been before. however i respect that they are. but recently i have been wondering, why is it that this past year with these last two albums are ESPECIALLY god focused? they got clean around 2019, and their music did change after that, but it wasn’t suddenly all god talk. their last two albums have been especially religions compared to the five before them, with album covers and names that are very religious, and lyrics that have a lot of religion talk. from what i understand, they still did believe in god when they made a few of the albums before these last two, but they still didn’t make all of their music about that. so why the change now? again i do want to say that i respect their religion and their change in their music, and most of all, i am happy they are alive, happy, and doing whatever is right for them. i’ve just been wondering about this.
another thing i want to say. this may or may not apply to ruby and scrim, i don’t know, but i personally find it odd that religion, specifically christianity, is pushed on people trying to get clean who are in rehabs or support groups. i know many addicts who hold back from going to rehab or NA because they don’t want to get pressured to start believing in god. it sort of feels like the church taking advantage of people with the disease, pushing god on them when they’re vulnerable and desperate knowing that they are looking for any way out and will try anything. and it always seems to be christianity that’s encouraged in recovery, not other religions which also contributes to my thoughts about this. maybe this is not at all the case, i don’t know. but in my recovery experience i felt extremely pressured in rehab and in NA to believe in god and it felt very controlling. i don’t think those people had ill intent, i think they were trying to help me, but it still was uncomfortable. but i do think it’s possible that this is a tactic from the church and the people in power to control vulnerable people. i do think religion can be great for some people and can help them improve their lives and have a sense of purpose, but i do not think it should ever be used as a form of control, and i also don’t think it should ever be pushed on anyone. people should be able to come into their own beliefs. i am also, in our divided and crazy world, seeing religion increasingly being used as a way to control people in many different ways and in many different countries, and not just with christianity, which is not the way religion should be used. it can be a beautiful thing and shouldn’t be used with this intent. i feel that governments and people in power use a lot of different tactics to control and divide people in order to distract them from what matters, aswell as distract them from the power and manipulation they are under. the boys used to seem like they were against this, but nowadays i can’t tell. i’m not at all saying that all this is the situation with the boys, i don’t know if it is. it’s just a thought i have. and i know not everyone will agree with me on this, and that is completely okay and i fully respect your opinion whatever it may be. anyway, i didn’t write this post thinking i was going to get all political, apologies if it was too much. my main point was about the sudden change in the last two albums. what do y’all think about that?
