Discussion Oppo pad mini…WOW

If you’re looking for the best android tablet there is look no further. I got the matte 12gb version and wow. The smoothest nicest tablet I’ve ever used. No weird Google Play issues, everything is buttery smooth. I don’t ever plan on gaming I just wanted something seamless and iPad like. I would say this is better than an iPad hands down having had a mini before. it’s definitely expensive but I think this is a peak mini tablet that you won’t need to change for a very very long time. Run don’t walk if you’re looking for the best tablet on the market now !

Request Confused between Lenovo Idea and Redmi Pad 2.

Price wise 8 gb+128 gb of Redmi and 8 gb+256 gb of Lenovo Idea are similar in my country. My goals are productivity, multitasking, splitting screen, storing notes and books, video streaming, light gaming.

Which one should I go ahead with? I dont want my eyes to strain since I read and study a lot.

Discussion Xiaomi Tab VS Huawei Tab

I want to buy a tablet and I’m mainly considering Xiaomi and Huawei because of their performance and price. However, I’ve used Huawei before, and since it doesn’t support Google services well, it was a bit difficult to use. Could you suggest which one I should choose?

Request Tablet recommendation for movies and display quality

Hi guys, I’d like to ask for your help. I’m looking to buy a tablet mainly for watching movies and having a smooth experience overall. I’d really like a beautiful screen and to be impressed by the image quality.

I’ve done some research and found these models:

- Xiaomi Pad 7 / Pad 8

- Lenovo IdeaPad Plus

- Honor MagicPad 2

- Samsung Tab S10 FE

Which ones would you recommend?

My budget is €300 maximum, and I’ve found them around these prices on Vinted or locally.

Thanks!

Request Tablet for running apps like nomad sculpt and Ibispaint x

In need of upgrading my current galaxy A8 and hoping to find a tablet sub 500 for me to be more creative with. My current tablet is only used to watch YouTube since any other app lag a lot while trying to use it. Are there any tablets that would have the ability to run programs like ibispaint x and nomad sculpt without constant issues of lag?

Discussion Lenovo idea tab on sale for 159, good for me?

Lenovo has a deal on the idea tab for 159 right now.

I've been looking for a tablet to play wild rift on and read comics mainly. Otherwise just browsing the web and Reddit. Would this be something to pull the trigger on or wait for some other deal or buy something else from marketplace?

Edit: I bought it!

Discussion Do you actually use the cameras on your tablet?

I use mine mainly for media consumption, so I don't use the cameras, but I'm occasionally bothered by the camera bump when I lay it down.

Not sure if this is a hot take, but tablets, as large as they are, shouldn't have a camera bump/island. The reason these exist is to fit better cameras, but is the gain justified to ruin a tablet's use experience (holding, wobbling...). Why not have a modest camera to not need a bump/island...

Front facing camera is fine as it doesn't ruin user experience even if you don't use it, but is nice to have. Unless it exists as a punch hole in the screen.

Do you use the front and/or back camera? And for what?

I want to hear your use cases, even if you don't use the cameras at all.

Request Need a Good Tablet for College

So I am currently doing BTech ECE from a private university. I have completed first year and will be commencing to second year now. I have realized, I will be making good amount of notes every sem with diagrams and circuits. I am thinking of buying a Tablet to ease off the note taking experience. I used to have a shitty Realme Tab with no pencil so I never made notes in a Tablet. I am getting 3 offers as of now. all the pricess given are in INR.

1) Ipad 11'' A16 for 35k (pen excluded)
2) Lenovo Idea Tab Pro for 29-30k (pen included)
3) Samsung S10 Lite for 35k (pen included)

My main focus will be note taking, watching lectures and a bit of netflix. I want a big screen as the smaller ones annoys me a bit. Please tell me what options do I have right now? I have saved up only 36k from my side hustles so I can only arrange 3-4k extra AT MAX.

Discussion Android tablet file workflow feedback wanted: PDFs, EPUBs, Office, archives

Hi, I'm the developer of Fileloom.

I'm trying to make Fileloom better for Android tablet file workflows: downloads, class/work folders, cloud folders, split-screen use, keyboard/mouse use, and mixed document collections.

Fileloom is a free, ad-free Android file viewer. It opens PDFs, EPUBs, HWP/HWPX, Office documents, archives, Markdown/code files, images/media, TIFF, VCF, M3U playlists, and drawing/CAD files like DWG/DXF/STEP/STP.

I'd especially like feedback from tablet users on:

- Which file types you actually open on a tablet

- Whether split-screen, keyboard/mouse, recents, or cloud folders matter most

- What breaks with large PDFs, EPUBs, Office docs, or archives

- Which viewer would be most useful to improve first

Play Store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.fileloom.app

I'm sharing this for Android tablet workflow feedback, not ratings or upvotes.

Request Thinking of purchasing a tablet along with stylus for normal day-to-day work, OnePlus Pad 2, Pad 2 Go, Samsung Tab S9 FE+ or consider other brands?

Disclaimer: I am upgrading from a Samsung Tab S6 Lite which has begun to show its age and has started to feel a bit laggy.

Reqiurements & Questions:

  1. Tablet doesn't die for 6-7 hours of non-demanding usage: Using the notes app, Google Keep, GMail, Chrome, etc. Basically, everything you'd use for schoolwork.

  2. I need opinions regarding the Notes app on OnePlus. Does it have any cross-compatibility/cloud storage with OnePlus phones? How is the writing experience, UI and features in general for handwriting note-taking? I am well aware that the Notes app on Samsung is excellent, so how does the OnePlus notes app compare?

  3. As far as I've read, the Stylo 2 for the Pad 2 supports wireless charging from the tablet, but I can't find any informaton regarding the Pad Go 2 Stylo. Does it also support wireless charging? (AI overview says it does, but I don't trust it, and the OnePlus website only lists Type-C).

  4. The main tradeoff as far as I am aware is that both the Pad Go 2 and the normal Pad 2 have a better chip and better in-general performance, but Samsung has Wacom EMR which makes the S-Pen paper-light and non-battery dependent, along with better responsiveness. (Although for me, as long as OnePlus stylos have acceptable latency and wireless charging, I would prefer them to the Samsung). Is there anything else I should know about?

  5. Occasional somewhat-heavy gaming for no longer than 2 hours: Rainbow Six Mobile, Need For Speed: No Limits (also Minecraft Pocket Edition, and Clash Royale, all at playable framerates.)

  6. Is a OnePlus 11R + any or these tablets and pen a viable daily carry for schoolwork? Are there any useful ecosystem features for OnePlus?

Thanks in advance! I felt like this has far too many questions to fit in the request thread, hence why I made a post. Feel free to recommend other subreddits I should repost this to.

Request New Onn 8.1 (2026) model case?

Are there any slim cases for the new Onn 8.1 model yet? I searched on Amazon and there is one, but it looks like a more generic case that covers everything which I don't like.

Discussion Looking for the tablet with the best processor for Android gaming and emulation available right now for under $200.

Would prefer screen size of 8inches or larger. 60hertz refresh rate is fine and so is 1080p resolution. A MicroSD card slot would be great but not a deal breaker if it doesn't have one. I wouldn't mind it being used/refurbished. Basically I'm just looking for the tablet with the most powerful processor currently available for under $200 to be used for mainly emulation and some Android gaming.

$200 is the very top of the price range. And it has to be available right now for this price. No Facebook Marketplace. The people in my area always list tech and gaming stuff on there for retail price or over and refuse to negotiate on price at all.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Discussion Ghost touch going crazy on Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+

I've had my Samsung Tab A9+ (8 gigs of ram version) for about a year and I use it very lightly, maybe 2 times a week at most.

It's never been dropped, has no screen protector that could cause touch issues, and it's using the same charger it's used since day 1. I've installed no new apps in the last several months and downloaded nothing from anywhere outside of my own Google drive.

This past week, the tablet updated while I wasn't using it. Since then, I can run it for a few minutes and it will work fine, but then the 'ghost touch' starts randomly.

Taps will register randomly, the screen will jitter back and forth like someone's moving a finger on it. While it's doing this, I'm completely unable to interact with it and I can't close apps. It will do it over and over again, at times, and other times the tablet will work fine for 10 or more minutes before randomly glitching out again.

I've removed it from its case to make sure nothing is being pressed weird. I tried taking it offline in airplane mode, but the behavior persists offline same as online. There's been no drops, cracks, no new apps, nothing other than the update, and to be honest, I'm not sure what the update was because it did it while I wasn't using the tablet.

Per suggestion elsewhere, I tried factory reset. Ghost touch still happens and I couldn't even get through the registration screen without it false tapping all over.

Do any of you have suggestions on what I can try to fix this?

Request Redmi pad 2 or Samsung A11+

Hi everyone I hope you all are doing fine.. Just had a great quick question, I'm in interesting in purchasing a tablet for myself as a uni student.. I can afford both of these tablets in my budget, here are my primary uses

1) pdf/book reading 2) light to moderate gaming 3) streaming / surfing the web 4) light multi tasking 5) note taking

I've looked into these two and both seem to have their pros and cons, for redmi it's cheaper (albeit only slightly) and also comes in with cover and a charger plus offers more ram and storage (8/256)

For Samsung it's performance has me intrigued, the chipset is quite a bit better than the g100 used in redmi.. Though I would've preferred 8 gb of ram ideally

For anyone who has used either or both of these tablets, can you kindly share your experience with me? I would genuinely appreciate it.. Thanks for reading
