nah you probably didn't get a dodgy one. lenovo ships some units with chinese roms especially if the seller imported it. happens on amazon uk more than you'd think. check settings - about tablet - look for 'ro.product.locale' or language options. you might need to flash global rom if it bothers you. tons of guides on xda for that model. the hardware is fine though.

Warranty info says 2 years from 19th August 2025.. battery 1 y​ear from same date ​.. ​I've only had it 2 weeks.

Serial number check says my local repair depot is Italy, so ​you are right. It's an import from Italy.
