Looking for housing groups and accommodation in Padua (Aug/Sep 2026)

Hi everyone,
I'm a University of Padua student looking for accommodation from August/September 2026, with a regular contract and the possibility to stay at least until July 2027.

I'm mainly looking for a single room, ideally two single rooms in the same apartment, but I would also consider a small apartment/bilocale if suitable.

Do you know any active WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook groups, or other useful resources for student housing in Padua?
Thank you!

I feel like I’m going insane waiting for UniPD 😭

At first I thought I had no chance anymore, so I emotionally started letting go of the process. But then my status updated to “waiting to be ranked” (i am non eu) admissions told me to wait for the final ranking, I found out the process might still be moving until June, and now I keep seeing people decline their offers.

Now I don’t know what to feel anymore.

Part of me is trying not to create too much hope, and another part of me can’t stop imagining how life-changing this opportunity would be for me. I’m turning 21 this week, and the idea of studying in Italy with my boyfriend honestly feels unreal.

I keep checking Reddit, my email, the portal… every single day 😭

I guess I just wanted to vent because I know some of you probably understand this kind of admissions anxiety.

Need help erasmus housing

Check a lot of sites and agencies already.

Some ask for 1000€ just in fees!

Others just refuse renting for less than 8 months.

I'd wish to start renting from 1st september, while most rools are either available now or early August.

I need help, how does it work back there ?

Need help with scholarships

Hi everyone!
I just got accepted to the Master's in Mechatronics Engineering at UNIPD and I'm trying to figure out the financial aid options. Could anyone kindly break down how the scholarship processes actually work for international students, both for the university's merit-based scholarships and the regional ESU/government grants? I would really appreciate any insights on how and when to apply, what the realistic timelines are for applications and payouts, and any tips from anyone who went through this process recently. Thanks in advance!

Room in Padova

Hello everyone,

I´m a student from Germany and I will be staying in Padova for an Erasmus next autumn. Currently i´m desperately looking for a room, I know this is a common issue in Padova and I´m not the only one who struggles.

I came across an agency called "solostudenti" and nobody seems to have ever heared from them, let alone booked a room through them. Has anybody here had other experiences and can share them with me? Are they legit and worth 1000Euro Brokerage fees????

My ideal place to stay would be a shared appartement with local italian students but I haven´t found a single advertisement. If you have any tipps how to find legit offers please please help me. I´m currently looking on Housinganywhere, idealista, immobiliare and Telegram (i also heard that there are facebook groups but i don´t know what to look for on facebook to find them).

As I´m searching for a few month now i´m quite desperate and would be super super glad for any help. Thank you <3

Study Abroad Opportunities / Exchange Programs

hi everyone! a question for the current students and graduates:

how accessible and competitive are the exchange programs at Padua?

particularly interesting to me are the destinations outside Erasmus: the US and Australia. I’ve read on the website that there are some, but not many, destinations; however, there’s no statistics on those who applied for the programs vs those who actually got in.

in your experience, what does it take to make the cut? how hard is it?

and if you did go on mobility, how did you like it? :)

Fatemi sapere e grazie!

Padova Information Engineering Non-EU - Will it scroll more in June/July?

Hi everyone,
I’m a non-EU applicant for Bachelor’s in Information Engineering 2026/27. Currently the ranking has reached around 185 and I’m still waiting.
Those who are in similar positions (190-250 range) have you seen any recent movement? Do you think there will be more scrolling in June or early July?
I would really appreciate any info from previous years or current applicants. Thanks in advance!

🇮🇹 ITALIANO

Ciao a tutti,

Ogni corso, ogni anno, ogni dipartimento è benvenuto.

🇬🇧 ENGLISH

UniPD teaching labs: engineering masterpieces or artifacts from the Pleistocene?

Hey everyone,

I'm collecting opinions on teaching labs here at UniPD — physics, ML, electronics, chemistry, systems, whatever you've done. This isn't formal research, there's no professor behind this, nothing gets graded. I just want to understand if what I experienced is a shared condition or if I'm simply not cut out to survive a '90s software with the UI of a broken microwave.

A few questions — answer one, all of them, or just vent freely:

  1. Was the software you used during labs actually intuitive, or did it feel specifically designed to kill any remaining interest in the subject?

  2. Did you understand while doing it what you were measuring, or did it all click three days later while looking at the solutions?

  3. Was there a specific moment where you thought "who on earth thought this was a good idea?"

  4. If you could change ONE thing about the lab experience — hardware, software, method, physical space, or the lab's very existence — what would it be?

  5. Was there something you wished existed during the lab that simply... didn't?

All courses, all years, all departments welcome. The more specific the better — "it sucked" is a starting point, "it sucked because every time you touched the slider it reset everything" is gold.

Waiting a year?

I have a dilemma i am facing. I got accepted into the master's "cognitive neuroscience and clinical neuropsychology". However i am not sure i would be able to afford living in Italy for 2 years at this moment, and I'm wondering, if i pause a year to earn money, will my chances of getting in next year drop off significantly (for context, i am 22, turning 23 this year, which is the youngest you can graduate in my country)

Hi guys! I’ve just been accepted to the Master’s in Quantitative and Computational Biosciences for 2026/2027 and I’m starting to get all the documents.

I’d really like to talk to other Brazilians about this process. If anyone was accepted into this program or another one at Unipd, please drop a comment. Any tips about documentation, visa, where to live are all very welcome.

Thanks and best of luck to all in this process!

Psychology at UniPD

Hello, I am interested in doing my bachelor in psychology in Italy. From my research, University of Padova is kinda the only one who offers the bachelor in English. If there are people currently studying psychology there in English, could you tell me more about the quality of the studies?

Is the Padua online Psychology degree truly remote for international students?

Hi everyone!

I was recently admitted to the ONLINE Bachelor’s in Techniques and Methods in Psychological Science at the University of Padua (Italy), but I’m really confused about one thing.

I keep finding conflicting information about exams. Some people say exams are fully in-person in Padua, while others say the programme is mostly remote.

For international students, this is a huge issue financially because frequent travel to Italy would completely change the affordability of the degree.

Could any current students clarify:

  • Are exams fully in-person?
  • How often do you actually need to go to Italy?
  • Are there any remote exam options at all?

I’d really appreciate honest answers before I make my final decision. Thank you!
