Room in Padova

Hello everyone,

I´m a student from Germany and I will be staying in Padova for an Erasmus next autumn. Currently i´m desperately looking for a room, I know this is a common issue in Padova and I´m not the only one who struggles.

I came across an agency called "solostudenti" and nobody seems to have ever heared from them, let alone booked a room through them. Has anybody here had other experiences and can share them with me? Are they legit and worth 1000Euro Brokerage fees????

My ideal place to stay would be a shared appartement with local italian students but I haven´t found a single advertisement. If you have any tipps how to find legit offers please please help me. I´m currently looking on Housinganywhere, idealista, immobiliare and Telegram (i also heard that there are facebook groups but i don´t know what to look for on facebook to find them).

As I´m searching for a few month now i´m quite desperate and would be super super glad for any help. Thank you <3

What's wrong with agencies?

always assume they're scamming. if they seem in a hurry - scam, if they ask for money before anything - scam, anything suspicious should be your sign to be careful. and once you find something good check if it's a real place

Coool! I will leave my room in September, and the house is super nice and chill, extremely tidy, but the only problem is that the flatmates are guys that speak only Italian and are around 50 years old, but very cool guys. The rent is 350 euros per month, with all the utilities included. I can’t stress enough what a good experience I ve had.
