Need help with scholarships
Hi everyone!
I just got accepted to the Master's in Mechatronics Engineering at UNIPD and I'm trying to figure out the financial aid options. Could anyone kindly break down how the scholarship processes actually work for international students, both for the university's merit-based scholarships and the regional ESU/government grants? I would really appreciate any insights on how and when to apply, what the realistic timelines are for applications and payouts, and any tips from anyone who went through this process recently. Thanks in advance!

Congrats! Have you found anything regarding scholarships yet?

I applied for the Invest Your Talent in Italy programme but my first choice was control systems engineering, so I was automatically rejected. I don’t think there are any other scholarships because the Excellence scholarship is awarded in the first round.
Let me know if you found anything. May I know from which country you’re?

I'm from Turkey! What about you? Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess you are right, Excellence scholarships are probably done in the first round. However, I've been looking into the regional scholarship (DSU / Veneto) and tuition waivers. Apparently, if your ISEE value is low enough, you can get a direct tuition fee waiver from the university, so you don't even have to wait for cash scholarship payments. Also, I heard that the regional scholarship covers free meals at the university canteens and offers student housing opportunities. Have you checked your ISEE eligibility yet?

No, I didn’t check about the regional scholarship but I will. I’m also not sure what ISEE is. There is another scholarship called Galilean that will give you round-trip flight, meal and accommodation but the deadline has passed. I’m also looking for a tuition fee waiver.

The merit based one (I’m assuming you mean the international excellence scholarship), you don’t have to apply. You’re automatically considered for it. But I think it only applies in the first call. Hope that helps some at least.
