XL A Good Man
Nate is a good person. I would love to hang out with and learn from him. Also his eyes twinkle. He seems to be a fan favorite. Making a cooking pit was a great idea!!

Just started watching XL season 7 and it features Sarah who is one of my fave survivalists and I recently read that she passed away in a car accident. I just wanted to say that she seemed like a funny and smart lady and a great partner on the show.

Did anyone else feel so bad for him on XL. I feel like the females were rude for no real reason. I could be wrong

I am upset for the other contestants that Dani didn’t have to finish the challenge to stay in.
Bulent went home on dehydration. What if Dani would’ve sub combed to the same by the time she finished? She was taking forever in the hot sun. There was a risk of that. I think they should’ve made her finish to stay and earn a spot.

Dear. God. The way that whole group treated her towards the end of the challenge was AWFUL. They had all suddenly decided that she was useless and a leech when she LITERALLY WASN’T. If they felt like she was being handed everything, they should’ve told her how they felt instead of ganging up on her and acting like she didn’t deserve to stay.
I can’t say I’m surprised by Chris, Danielle, and Alana believing that since they treated past partners in the challenge poorly (although that still didn’t justify Chris’s gear being thrown in the water), but I was VERY disappointed with Laura, Eva, and Luke because they all seemed like genuinely nice people, so for them to just suddenly turn on one of their own just felt totally out of character for them.
Jeff and EJ aren’t free of blame either. I mean, yeah, you can say you empathize with someone all you want, but if you really empathized with her, you should’ve let her join your group (need I remind you that that is EXACTLY what you did with Shane?!). They may have been against her removal, but they should’ve let her stay with them, or at the very least, just said nothing. It felt like they only said they empathized with her just to feel better about themselves. Actions speak louder than words.

I usually look forward to watching the show --- in whatever version is currently running --- on Sundays, but this season I'm struggling to keep watching it. Past XL seasons had cast members with some personality and charisma that were actually fun to watch, who tried to stay a bit upbeat as much as they could. Even some of the annoying cast members (Jeff) at least had personalities that made for good TV. With this season, the few people that were mildly interesting and likable (like Andrew and Sam) are dropping like flies. Most of them seem to have checked out early on, and I feel like I'm watching a bunch of depressed suffering prisoners trapped somewhere. I thought Kaiela being alone would make her the least interesting part of the show, but it turns out she has the likability factor most of the rest of the cast is severely lacking. Discovery is dragging out these episodes way too long as well, considering not much is happening --- how many times do we need to see caiman wandering around in the dark not eating bait?

Compared to previous seasons this is horrible. This is even worse than the snow XL last season and that was barely watchable
None of the contestants are likeable they are all so cringe. What the hell happened did all the contestants just run out of testosterone?!

Rewatching XL season 8 and watching Amber pray for Trish and Jen on their extraction after they were so ridiculously mean to her just shows her true kindness and emotional maturity. Trish is the WORST ever on Naked and Afraid. Close second would be Lacey, but at least Lacey isn't lazy!

Just watched Naked and Afraid XL: The Colombian Badlands...
This guy Andrew Shayde tapped 4 days into a 40 day challenge for a small thumb injury? I feel like that's a weak move. Sucks when someone like this takes the spot of another survivalist.
He also tapped on his 21-day challenge for ticks in his butthole.
Why do they keep bringing survivalists like this back? Am I the only one who feels this way? What do you guys think of Andrew?

Few episodes I could have sworn Heather say to Lindsey? "I'm glad to have another woman" in their team. Shouldn't that have been "women". Anyway, I brushed it off.
Then this new episode during the cayman scene, Heather says something about how all the women are going to check for cayman. But Terra wasn't with them.
So I was confused if Terra identifies as a man or woman

Is so redeeming. Trish did nothing but lay around and bad mouth Amber and ate her fish. Trish was so arrogant and rude, look at her now. They day Amber left, her and Jen fell apart. Amber was so gracious the whole time she stuck it out with the bed makers.. Amber deserves to be with Steven and EJ (what's the prob EJ?), two mature guys who appreciate her. Amber's leaving is one of the greatest decisions in NAA. Then we see Waz and Dan pushing for 60 days and the moment with the Anaconda. We have 6 amazing, cohesive people that are making this season so fun to watch. Jen chose the wrong person to side with and is stuck, basically alone. For Trish, karma's a bitch, and I see the lazy nut quitting because she has NO skills. On with the next episode..

Hello guys, I am almost finished watching the first season of XL, and let’s just say it’s not my cup of tea. My question is: Are all the XL seasons like this? Full of drama?
r/nakedandafraid • u/fishwhispers17 • Jun 04 '24
Basically, what the title says. There’s nothing to hunt, too many bugs, it’s too hot. They do nothing but suffer and need medical practically every day. There’s barely any team dynamic because they are too miserable to do anything.

I’m on Season 6 Episode 11 and I’ve got to say it: Bulent is stealing the show for me. The guy walks in like he owns the damn environment. He doesn’t let anyone boss him around, he doesn’t bend just to fit group dynamics, and he clearly isn’t afraid to piss people off if it means staying true to what he thinks is right
You can argue his ego is huge-sure. But there’s something about how unapologetically he carries himself that makes him fascinating to watch. He’s powerful in a way most people pretend to be on this show💪🏻

We don’t know how we would socialize without food for more than a few hours, let alone a few days. Terra makes mistakes, holds onto them for a while and then learns from them. There’s not much more to ask for in a person. They are the person I’d choose to do this stuff with because there’s a give and take there. My second choice would be Jake Nodar cause he’s similar.

I just started watching Season 5 of XL and it’s been a full episode (1) and 45 mins into e2 of nearly straight advertising and “sneak peek” spoilers… enough already! Does it get better or should I just quit here? It’s so asinine to advertise for a show that you’re literally already watching… just get on with it! And they repeat the same info as if everyone coming back from a commercial break actually dissolved their brain matter somehow and need to rebuild it with a “refresher” segment. Like how dumb do they think people are?

I was one of the biggest Jeff haters, and maybe he got a better edit this time or he did change, but i throughly enjoyed him in this season. While he did not win, I think he managed to redeem himself to many. I enjoyed seeing how socially aware he was in this season and how he was able to strategize and control his level of bravado for his advantage.
