Question (RELATED TO THE HBO SHOW GIRLS) ❓ Where is Hannah’s family originally from?

In the episode where Flo is in hospital, Adam makes it there by motorcycle, and Hannah is on a train. This supposes Upstate or New England somewhere within reach no more than 4 hours by any mode of transport from the City.

What’s more, her uncle got done for insider trading, safe to assume he commuted to NYC to work in finance.

I think Hannah’s mother is from whatever state that is (as the single aunt lived there with Flo), got a professor job in Michigan, maybe even went to undergrad there and met Tad and just stayed and settled, raising Hannah there.

Theories?

EDIT: If we’re going further, Horvath is a Hungarian Jewish surname I believe, don’t know Loreen’s maiden name however

When I read Famesick I found myself wanting more of the little stories from Lenas New york city upbringing and the people in it.

Episode Discussion 📺 Panic in Central Park and What will we do this time About Adam are parallel episodes

I’m rewatching Girls and it strikes me that both the Marnie/Charlie episode and Hannah/Adam episode in season 6 are very similar. Both are fantasies about the characters getting back together that end in final goodbyes. The feel of the episodes is similar.

I love them all and I don’t care who knows it! Hannah in particular is so funny in how god damn self involved she is. That’s exactly the point Lena is making with her writing.
