Episode Discussion 📺 Panic in Central Park and What will we do this time About Adam are parallel episodes

I’m rewatching Girls and it strikes me that both the Marnie/Charlie episode and Hannah/Adam episode in season 6 are very similar. Both are fantasies about the characters getting back together that end in final goodbyes. The feel of the episodes is similar.

Wow great observation. Feels like the difference is that Charlie knows from the get go this is just a fantasy that won’t last but Adam (at first) really thinks he can force this to work.

Both also reveal that the man in question is absolute trash and the woman has a greater degree of self-reliance and insight than she realised.
