The site is brand new and just a week ago we made the decision not to allow ai covers, so authors are scrambling to commission something for launch.

The platform is going to feature a marketplace for cover artists to list their work so authors can reach out for commissions or to buy existing pieces.

If you are planning on advertising your work there, be prepared to post a speedpaint for any work you want to advertise. Any commissions you do for authors in that server would require a speedpaint at the end to stay a member of the community and continue to advertise. For reference, I have a near-completion, conceptual book cover, heavily edited by me in Illustrator.

That being said, one of the main elements (singular .png character art) that has been edited to look original (I like how it looks, but not the connotation of its origin) - is AI generated. Obviously I don't want it to look like slop, so it's been stylised how I imagined the book cover. I've only ever used this for conceptual mocking up and never intend to publish using AI imagery.

I'd like to either find an asset to replace it and edit it myself, or commission someone to design the character with me so it's 100% human.

If I do search for assets, where might I be able to find them? A simple Google won't do as it'll have to be licensed for profit.
