I’ll share more details about the book later, which I’m hoping to launch next August.

Right now, I’m finalising the blurb and putting together a few interior pages to showcase more of the character horror concept art.

It’s been a very personal solo project for me, so I wanted to start sharing parts of the process along the way, before the book is eventually released!

Thought I'd share here since it's finally out :) I know it's not typically recommended to do your own covers but I have been working as a cover artist for a while now.

I used Clip Studio Paint and Affinity! I made two different covers(paperback and e-book) just because I wanted to draw my characters😆

I need to tweak elements a bit later because I still don't know the final page count. If you find any typos or suggestions on these covers, feel free to let me know🙏🌱

And if you want to know the fonts and assets I used for this cover, check out my blog.

I had the pleasure of illustrating two scenes from a work in progress novel for a wonderful client. I designed the character's outfits based on my client’s descriptions, while also having a lot of freedom and fun bringing these ideas to life. I love painting powerful women.

These were challenging and really rewarding to paint, I learned a lot.

Hi! I am excited to share the final result of that custom book cover commission for a fan of Mother of Death & Dawn from the War of Lost Hearts series by Carissa Broadbent. I also added preview for the front cover with placeholder captions since I am not the one who will add them. Done in 43h in clipstudio paint.

Showcase Did my best designing a Cover!

So, I am writing a Royal Road story. I hadn't the budget to hire for a cover (if I ever go the selfpublishing route I will certainly do though), so I commissioned a cover from myself! With my rusty photoshop knowledge and a lot of experintetion, I finally ended up with an okey result. I doubt it's very fitting for the said platform, but hey, I like it! Any feedback is welcome and opinions on it. Disclaimer: last time I painted anything was 15 years ago when I was in high school for a project.

Heyo, a painting done earlier this year, first painting I really finished, and I though it would make a good cover when it was done, for a murder/mystery kinda book.

Showcase YA Fantasy Cover FINAL VERSION

First off, I want to say thank you so much for all the great feedback on my previous posts! Here is the final version, with the most notable change from my last post being the font according to the advice. It’s still very readable (I think?) but not as bulky or “text box” looking. For those interested in the book itself, I am hoping to publish by May!

Wanted something a little more interesting, so I drew some items from the story and made the title MUCH larger. Giving the back a similar treatment, but with different images yet to be drawn up.

I made this cover for a hypothetical romance book using a moment with my fiancée as inspiration, and I’m really proud of how it came out!!

I was originally going to post this in the “feedback” tag, but ultimately decided against it because even though it isn’t perfect, I really do like it and it represents a very special moment for me.

That being said, feedback is always very welcome, every piece of it I have received in this community has been both really helpful and very kind ☺️

I hope you guys like this as much as I do!!!

Showcase Updated and Final Cover Design

Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment on my last post. I’ve decided to go with the version that also happened to be the crowd favorite, so I figured I would show off its final revisions. Background scribbles over the fire toned down, title embiggened, and I think the cover is much better for it. The artist, btw, is Jack/Thibault at jackhillside.com—he’s been a fantastic collaborator and deserves a mention.

Showcase Latest cover I illustrated for a cozy and spicy romance series set in an enchanted town. The author was looking for a discreet cover for the genre, spring vibes (sun shining after a rainy day), and the novel's main location as the cover focus.
