Nah, she was buried in Inverin, Co. Galway. Its a very secluded graveyard on the west atlantic coast of ireland. Its up a tiny road and on the coastline. So ppl werent there after dusk. And the ppl who frequented knew me cause id skip school too and hang there at the beginning. But def if someone would have shown up, i would have scared them lol. But it was so dark too. Definitely wasnt healthy or normal but losing her was just life shattering for me. Its a long time ago now, i can chuckle about the idea of it all

I've had both and definitely prefer Krystal but I think it says more about the quality of drinking I do in New Orleans than it does about either chain.
I mainly ate them the next morning after drinking too much the night before in my 20s. Get a big bag of them and try to finish them before they get cold.
A few years back, I was in a drive-thru at Krystal at 2am. I ordered, but then the line stopped. The dude in front of me had passed out behind the wheel. I had to wake him up, thankfully his window was still down.
When Krystal is done right, it's insanely good. Best fries in the game when made correctly. And a Krystal with cheese when you're a few beers deep after you've tugged on the Penjamin Franklin is a life-changing experience. The problem is consistency. You are about as likely to have a great meal as you are a terrible one from them.
Interesting tidbit about Nashville is at least at the time of this posting, they have both. So, yay overlap?
And if you're wondering, yes, getting both the same day to compare is a thing I've done. White Castle is more onion-forward and slightly sweeter, Krystal is more intense on the mustard with a salty flavor. Squishing one of each together kind of works, just don't expect some kind of culinary revelation or anything.
That’s funny, I moved from the North to Georgia, and miss White Castles.
Nostalgia for things from home probably play a big part. Had Krystal’s a few times here, but it always tastes like a worse imitation of white castles to me. I’d rather eat Southern originals like Bojangles or Popeyes if I’m goin for fast food in Georgia.
As long as I'm not looking for okra or grits done right, my options for cuisine are limitless.
BTW, I was practically born in Tennessee. My father was stationed in Ft. Campbell, Ky so I was born in Blanchfield Memoorial but went home to Clarkesville, Tn within hours. I remember trips to Opryland as a child.
I had it once in the middle of the night, because it was the only thing open. It was easily one of the worst places I've ever eaten. Just soggy, bland, little Walmart frozen grade burgers. I legitimately question how they stay open.
When I was in college, my buddy and I stopped at Krystals coming back from a show. We were going to get ten, I think, but the kid behind the counter was like, I only have enough buns to make like 30 more burgers, then I have to close. Is it cool if I give you 30 but only charge you for 10? We said hells yeah. Then we got back to the dorm, ate fifteen each, and played Goldeneye. Christ I miss being young.
Its a copycat of white castle and mostly in the south. White castle innovates and then Krystal introduces it a few years later. White castle sliders have a unique, iconic flavor that Krystal doesn't have, some hate it too. Krystal taste like a mid mini burger.

Never had White Castle, they don’t exist in my state. They seem like a “hate it or you love it” type chain though.
