Season 3 What scenes do you always skip ?

I'm watching the show for the first time and I'm on season 3 the Keith/Dan/Abby episodes and I always skip love scenes involving Mouth. I find he's a nice guy but I kinda feel they give him too much screen time. What do you think?

Season 1 First Watch Spoiler

I’ve seen a lot of clips over the years and i think i probably at one point tried to watch but i don’t remember a single thing other than the clips i’ve seen everywhere. So as i watch I’m just gonna comment below my thoughts on everything.

Firstly had no idea after all these years that Lucas and Nathan were supposed to be brothers and that was the basis of the show. I read the synopsis before starting it and was like “woah, i thought this was about a love triangle, not two brothers.”

Next the show was very obviously putting Lucas and Peyton together, but based on all the clips i’ve seen i had no idea that Peyton and Nathan had ever been a thing and that they were the OG couple.

I also am surprised that people were so surprised or outraged about Brooke going after Nathan when in episode one she states her interest in him.

Also had no idea that Nathan was such a jerk based off the fact the stuff i’ve seen made him seem like a golden retriever.

Still barely into season one but i do like Peyton and Lucas. Don’t really like Nathan too much but i’m sure they’ll change when he gets with Haley.

I like Haley as well as well as Brooke. The female characters so far are very likable though i’m sure i’ll feel different when they start introducing all the love triangles.

Discussion Brucas Spoiler

Idk if this has been discussed here before but If the writers hadn’t done Brucas 2.0, what storylines would you have loved to see for Lucas and even Brooke in those seasons.

I’ve seen alot of people say Brucas should’ve never happened after s1 so I wanted to know what kind of storylines you would have loved to see from the characters if it didn’t happen

Season 3 I have some very unpopular opinions and it's ruining my enjoyment of the show so far Spoiler

Upvotes

First time watcher, currently on S3E10, just needed to vent a bit....

Honestly I wanted to watch it since forever and I started it now since it recently came to my country's Netflix. I have been obsessed and binged all those episodes in about 10 days but recently I've been losing momentum and not enjoying the show this much.

I LOVED early season 1 and the dynamics of the characters. Nathan the bully, Lucas the underdog, Dan hating that he even had to see his 'bastard' son, haley being Lucas' best friend, the tension between peyton and lucas, the basketball, everything. I looked forward to see how it would unfold and specifically how Nathan would evolve since i had heard so much about his redemption, and how his relationship with Lucas would evolve (this part i absolutely adored).

But Nathan's arc so far has seriously disappointed me. I actually disagree with the term "redemption" because he did not do anything to redeem himself except be kind to Haley. All his development came from Haley, everything he did was either for or because of her. And we never saw him actively regret his past actions or change his behavior. We just focused on his relationship with Haley (and Lucas, which i said I was fine with, but that on very few episodes here and there). But what about the people he bullied? The closer we got to it was the episode with his coworker at the pretzel shop that was honestly really realistic (how he didnt even remember the guy he beat up). But even that wasn't properly addressed. Everything also happened so quickly, he was awful for like 5 episodes and then bam, Haley. Which brings me to my next point:

Naley!!! God, how i hate them currently. I hate how quickly they developed as a couple, and THE FACT THAT THEY GOT MARRIED AT 16 HELLOOO?? And we're supposed to hate everyone who gets in their way as if they're the crazy ones lol. I actually can't deal with how frequently the words 'husband' and 'wife' are thrown by them or at them, it's multiple times an episode and it almost makes me turn it off.

I actually enjoyed their time apart in the second half of season 2 and the tiniest bit of development we saw for them individually rather than in regards to their relationship. I really wish they hadn't rushed them into the relationship and marriage, I wish we could've seen Haley grow into a more confident musician on her own, perhaps have an academic storyline of deciding to pursue music instead of any other good student cliché career, I would've LOVED if we could've seen her get past her righteous attitude and make mistakes and own up to them (she kinda did that but the righteousness is still there like cmonnn) BEFORE she got with Nathan. I actually enjoyed her leaving for tour, putting herself first, finding confidence in her music and performances, having second thoughts about marrying so early (DUH) and just maturing, but then she returned to Tree Hill and turned into Nathan's Wife again lol. She didnt even bring any development along, it was like it never happened.

And Nathan, I liked how he unraveled when Haley left but kinda managed to put himself back together (though not completely). I hate how the show has him just be an extension of Haley with a side of family drama and basketball like cmon! Where is the actual redemption, where are the consequences for his past actions, where is he even there to acknowledge them??

So yeah, after this vent you realize I'm starting to not enjoy the show much. I've also been heavily spoiled but this doesn't worry me as much as those storylines. I'm now at the part where Naley gets back together and everyone is loving it and rooting for them but i desperately wished they would break their marriage and try again later after they've both matured but guess not! I intend to watch the show till the end but I seriously don't know what I'll do when Lucas leaves and the show becomes Naley with a side of Brooke (at least i love her). I do not care about them nearly enough to see 2-3 seasons just about them lol......

Maybe there's just something I don't get, I don't know...

Season 9 Season 9 should have been straightaway after 6, those 7 and 8 were less interesting, even dan scott didn't have much presence or effect Spoiler

those quinn and katie etc stories were pretty much boring, I was only there for dan redemption, they didnt need to extend this much, could have had dan nathan saving story just after season 6

Season 1 Was Dan Scott actually right?! Spoiler

Okay, so Dan Scott bailed out Nathan from jail and while he was there he told Lucas about him wanting to be a part of his life.

They made it seem like he had just walked out on Lucas, but turns out he wanted to be a part of it but Karen didn't.

Karen confronted Dan about what he had told Lucas and went totally off on him for calling out her Bullshit. Which she kind of denies any accountability for her part and blames him for just wanting to hurt her, but were his feelings valid? He felt tired of being the bad guy in Lucas eyes. Karen wanted to protect her son from him, and obviously we can see how Dan has been to Nathan, so maybe her decision was somewhat valid. I'm not sure how to feel about this.

Then Keith found out that his whole opinion of his own brother was based on a lie. And I feel a bit bad, but I think he still thinks his brother's an asshole.
