Murder Meet Cute extended story trailer - Play as 90s goth girl Amy who fixes computers on the night shift, as she uncovers a murder mystery through her clients machines.

Hello everyone! Murder Meet Cute is an interactive fiction game taking heavy inspiration from 90s FMVs and other 90s media. It's currently being made in the spare time of 3 people; myself (Kitty), usually a Producer by trade, but sitting as director and co-writer of this game. I'm originally from Belfast, but live in NL rn. Our Art Director Christina is still up in Belfast with her studio Crybaby Studios. Lastly, our creative director (and programmer) Raph is living in Canada.

We've had an absolute blast working on this! We really just wanted to release something together, but we're also secretly hoping maybe we can earn enough to make the next thing. Feel free to wishlist if you like the look, and do let us know if yas have any thoughts! This is the second trailer I've cut and it is significantly higher effort than the first one, but there's always room for improvement. Also demo should be coming in the next month or so, so keep an eye out for that! Cheers

Those with VR gear - have you found it worth it?

Lad is nagging me for VR goggles. I can't really tell ho much of a novelty it really is vs actually a worth-while buy.

What does the game variety look like?
Is it compatible with some staple games (e.g. Minecraft)?
Any brands I should look out for (or avoid)?

Thanks

Discussion Steam Machine vs. Xbox Project Helix

I’m gonna post it in here after the mods in the Steam Machine subreddit deleted my previous post (although it had plenty of engagement & discussion between people).

Is anybody else willing to wait for both Xbox Project Helix AND the Steam Machine to be released into the market to compare and contrast?

I imagine the Steam Machine specs just won’t be worth it in terms of value for money in comparison to the next-gen Xbox console?

I understand the simplicity of just turning on the machine and having Steam at our fingertips but if it’s as easy as downloading the Steam app on the next-gen Xbox, signing in and playing games then šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Help/Advice PS5 Controller Recommendations

Right folks, the unfortunate time has come again. PS5 controller is starting to drift in the left stick. Anyone have recommendations for controllers? I know Smyths are currently doing a sale on controllers at the minute but interested to see if anyone has any praises for any third party ones.

On a side note, this has been my 4th controller to get stick drift and while I’ve had the controller for about a year and a half, I only started using it maybe 6-ish months ago. Ever since launch, I’ve done my best to be really careful with them but they always seem to drift sooner or later. As a comparison, my Switch Pro controller that I’ve had since 2019 still performs like new, so I really think it’s just how the dualsense is built that’s the problem. Should I just bite the bullet at this stage and get the Edge controller?

Xbox I have a Xbox gift card I can't use - asking for advice (not offering here)

I'd like to sell it, what is the best way to do this for both parties? I am no scammer, I sell on Adverts, 600 positive feedback. I just want to sell it for less and give the money to my kids so they can use it for Fortnite or whatever. How are these sales normally done?

Question Second hand boardgames

Hello! I realise this sub is primarily video games but figured there might be a bit of overlap with board games, mods can remove it if not appropriate.

Has anyone any experience in buying or trading second hand board games in Ireland and where best to do it?

Adverts can be fairly hit and miss, apparently there's a fairly good Facebook marketplace page but then you'd need to use Facebook.

Gaelic Football Laochra

I love the GAA, and have all my life. Didn’t play the original game 20 years ago because I was a child and don’t even think I knew what a PlayStation was at the time of its release.

From anyone who’s played the game, outside of the poor graphics ( I don’t care about them ) and the clunky early game issues, like the tackling ( which they’re apparently very receptive to issues being reported and getting out fixes ), is the game itself remotely decent ? I don’t expect high quality whatsoever, but could I play for example a career mode without ripping my hair out due to any game breaking glitches ?

I know €35 is probably a bit steep for what the game is now, but I’m not too bothered about the price. I’m just happy a GAA game exists and would like to be able to play it without it taking years off my life. Is that possible ?

Question 3ds accessories in Dublin

Hi y'all! I have a two questions, first of them I'm looking for stylus for 3ds XL as I DONT HAVE ONE, I wanna go and get it instantly coz I don't have a stylus now at all, does any of you guys knows where is any kind of shop in Dublin area that would have them? I looked at CeX, GameStop etc, but nothing there...

The second question is maybe someone have some spare, old stylus for ds? Even better if its dsi XL or 3ds XL, I really hate using a finger coz this type of screen just requires using a stylus (typical resistive touch screen)

Cheers everyone!

(Don't shout at me guys, I already ordered 10 metal telescopic ones and 3 x 4 pack of simple plastic ones on AliExpress along with other stuff, but literally ordered them in Friday afternoon and my combined parcel is estimated to be in about 3-4 weeks, so far by 16-22 of June but I hope it may go one week less when the machine will start processing it etc, but hate using finger and genuinely would love a stylus for this 3 weeks when I'm waiting for a parcel)

Discussion Gaelic football Laochra for goty ?

Do you guys think we’ll see a nomination for the new GAA game at the game awards this year ? I’m hoping for an orchestra to play songs from the game itself it seems quite a few games like resident evil requiem and crimson desert will have competition this year.
