Separate from the stutter issues on PC in 1.7, I'm really not sure this playable FIA thing was a good idea.

Reforger is already heavily skewed towards skilled players on both teams ignoring the front lines, slipping into the enemy's back lines, and harassing/ destroying the supporting players running logistics. One of the most common ways people play is AR + AT launcher and slip behind to blow up vehicles that think they are safe - similar to the play style Drewski showcases often when he puts up a new video.

There is already so much friction for supply runners to overcome, when the enemy can be in any bush on your route and you have known locations you have to hit (depots, bases).

And the FIA is just another form of encouraging players to do this backline harassment. Sneak onto bases and steal mines. Ambush vehicles far from the front. These are all totally valid ways to play, and one of the meta ways to win, but it's odd when this platoon vs platoon sized combat environment is SOOO heavily tilted towards folks being rambo and doing their own thing.

I used to run supplies, but now I don't want to bother as often cause the servers crash so often we lose progress, and the enemy will inevitably just ambush you as you finish that 10min round trip.

Maybe these systems they are making would work if each team had 100 AI doing logistics and backline patrols, or AI could escort friendly supply runners. But as it stands they are just twisting the knife on the few supply runners we have left.

Kind of funny that this is sounding like a russian logistics driver on the crimea landbridge currently LMAO

Lol

Get fucked Putin

But it's definitely effective, so I get why both teams do it (and now FIA). But it's just not when this game plays best IMO. The game clearly needs to do more to encourage larger scale combined arms pushes for both teams.

Maybe hire content creators with the express goal of showing that off. Maybe revisit some of the design choices that encourage this line wolf play (maybe borrow some mechanics from Bellum that make line wolfing functionally impossible).
