Identify Help identify this flag in Germany

Post image

Found this flag cut out sticker in the small German town of Irrel. Can someone identify this flag?

What do you think this flag means if they put it over a 'hate fascism" sticker?

But nice that they didn't even manage to cover the message of the sticker underneath

The master race at work.

They wanted to show who they were opposing in the sticker war

It's also clearly a mockery of the LGBTQ flag.

It's pretty obvious what it's about.

I am as leftist as they come, I have been to Germany several times but not since 2013. I, with 100% honesty want you to know, i had no idea...

I imagined it could have been a pc gaming thing or a Soccer team insignia. But neither felt right.

The fact that it was over a anti-fascist sticker that i do recognize kept me intrigued but also didnt think much of it because lots of streets in Germany are covered with them.

SO i really did not know until they answered.

I know that you are joking, but just to spread awareness: the "Reichskriegsflagge" is frequently used by Nazis.

1

u/Theresafoxinmygarden Jun 02 '25

Oh yes well aware. Such a shame, I think it's honestly a kinda cool looking flag too, shame people have to ruin it with stupid ideological beliefs

1

u/TimePressure Jun 02 '25

Well yeah, it looks cool, but once you think about it, it never stood for anything but an imperialistic and nationalistic ideology.
It's the war flag of imperialist WWI Germany, after all. Flying that flag would have been not okay before Nazis started doing it.

Should they just assume they are correct or should they ask

They're not exactly subtle...

Maybe they can't read English.

13

u/[deleted] May 29 '25

That’s a good point, I can’t read English either

u/Veboy Iran May 29 '25

lmao for real man.

I don't think (or at least don't like to think) the op has ulterior motives, but how naive do you have to be to ask such a question.

4

u/NotThreeFoxes May 29 '25

I mean guessing the general vibe doesent mean you instantly understand what exactly something stands for, they probably just wanted to know specifics about It

0

u/nirghtrogr Jun 02 '25

it’s almost as if thats why people ask questions. so they can have CLARIFICATION of something they’re unsure of. like do you only have 2 nueronal connections in the critical thought center? here’s the golden rule: just because YOU know what something is doesn’t mean EVERYONE else does.

To me it looks like Gay-German

Maybe with a Bear or BDSM twist

Sometimes, questions are the best answers

1

u/liquidflows21 May 30 '25

The stupidest thing ever is telling the world you are fascist like it is a thing to be proud of

-3

u/Zephoix May 30 '25

Less of a hate fascism sticker and more of a “commit arson and hit random people with bike locks” sticker.

0

u/NaivePretender Jun 01 '25

What do you think this flag means if they put it over a 'hate fascism" sticker?

When your side is called fascist regardless of what you do, then a sticker saying "hate fascism" is just saying "hate afd".

-6

u/Machovec May 30 '25

I'd just like to point out that the sticker underneath is the symbol of an anarchocommunist terrorist group, which is something everyone should despise just as much as fascism, despite how much they try to paint themselves as moral and just by fighting "fascism." In reality, they fight whatever and whoever they feel like and call it "fighting fascism" to justify their actions. This is politically motivated violence which is the definition of terrorism.

2

u/Toa_Senit May 30 '25

Which group? There are a lot of different antifa groups. There are at least 47 in Germany alone. So which one are you talking about? Hm?

-2

u/JaskaBLR May 30 '25

Idk, I think Antifa is the kind of guys to name everything they don't like fascism. So it doesn't really matters anyway.

-14

u/MartinBP May 29 '25

Tbf that's not really a "hate fascism" sticker, it's a "red fascism" sticker.

12

u/3vr1m May 29 '25

Oh great I was waiting of one of you guys to show up
