Build Help/Question Light for acrylic terrarium

Post image

Is there a lamp with no existing heat production, which I can place on top of these acrylic terrariums?

That's a bummer. Do you have a tipp how to solve this problem?

What are you trying to house that heat is a problem for?

I'm worried I will burn/ melt the plastic lid. I house isopods and millipedes mainly

A small led desk lamp should be fine.

I actually have one I don't use at the time. Just have to get a full spectrum bulb. But this might actually work, as there will be a distance between the bulb and the plastic.

Yeah, you'll want to Google lux value for the light you choose, you'll find charts for each brand or model that shows how far intensity drops off with height.
