Build Help/Question Light for acrylic terrarium
Is there a lamp with no existing heat production, which I can place on top of these acrylic terrariums?

No. Lamps create heat. You can get more efficient lighting with LEDs that creates less heat than other light technology, but there will always be heat present when the light is turned on.

What are you trying to house that heat is a problem for?

I'm worried I will burn/ melt the plastic lid. I house isopods and millipedes mainly

A small led desk lamp should be fine.

I actually have one I don't use at the time. Just have to get a full spectrum bulb. But this might actually work, as there will be a distance between the bulb and the plastic.

Yeah, you'll want to Google lux value for the light you choose, you'll find charts for each brand or model that shows how far intensity drops off with height.
