I feel pyke is enough assassins for me personally, i don't like any other assassin, so my champ pool is a little wonky. Teemo & singed is a nice break from pyke since they aren't super strong early & become more of a lategame carry, even though i generally disagree with the sentiment that pyke is a super weak lategame champ.

i am not a good player but knowing that every time i try to do something there is always a significant chance that the fight will be decided by pure chance drives me insane. the bug practically happens every game at least once and i don't know if there's anything i can do to avoid it.

i have many many clips of q bug but couldnt be bothered to sift through all the footage. almost all the clips here are from the latest patch 26.9 but the frequency of the bug hasnt changed in my experience.

I have around 2 million mastery points on Pyke, and I’ve never felt him in such a bad state as in this new season. For some reason, regardless of whether I perform well or poorly, I always get outscaled. It gets to a point where you just stop being useful.

I’ve always had those games that are just unwinnable in the long run due to team comps, that’s a given. But those used to be maybe 30% or 35% of my matches. Right now, I feel like no matter what the enemy team plays, I’m more useless than a minion in the late game. And I consider myself a pretty decent Pyke player (I’ve even peaked as top 200 Pyke in EUW).

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, or if I'm just going through a rough patch and this season isn't for me. Maybe I'm just failing to understand the current League meta.

anyone else feel like pyke is useless? I have to do insane mechanical outplays to be useful just to get out scaled by any other support anyway. items don’t feel like satisfying powerspikes anymore it’s just about can I get my adc fed early and can he carry the game

Every season since the Support Rework, they have nerfed the amount of EXP that Support gets. This season feels insane. Last season I was able to usually stay 1 level, or 2 at max, below the top levels in the lobby. This season, it's impossible. If I play the way I should, I will be 2 levels, minimum, below the AD, usually 3 below the Mid/Jung and 4 or 5 levels behind Top.

Nothing kills me more than being 10/1/8 and being 1 level behind the Nami that is 2/8/10 and 3 levels behind everyone else.

It's insane how little exp you get from kills and assisting other lanes. If you ever leave your lane and your ADCs side, your EXP/Min just plummets.

Doing your job and clearing wards just makes you stay even further behind.

For Pykes, being behind is levels is a death sentence, since we have no other way to scale our HP.

I was Rank 2 in my region (Master 700 LP) last season.

Just had a game that I played out of my mind, ganked every lane, taxed quite a lot of EXP, especially when the laner died in the process. Helped with every objective. Absolutely destroyed the bot lane. Still ended as one of the lowest levels in the game. Before the last team fight, I was level 16, while everyone else was 18+, except Ashe that was destroyed in lane, who was 17 and the support, who was 15.

Keep in mind that I only died 3 times (4 if you count the last team fight, to secure the last kill).

In games I'm not doing so hot? I'm lucky to only be 4 levels behind. This sucks.

I feel like pyke should be able to jungle, his E needs to do damage to monsters only (no pyke mid stuff) prolly gonna get banned 90% of the time but man i wish he can jungle

This season I've been building youmuu -> mercs -> edge of the night with celestial sup item 99% of the time.

I don't know about you guys, but I value tenacity on pyke over anything else, maybe except for ms, but even that's negotiable. I'm not joking when I say I build mercs into almost any comp that has a trace of cc, even if they're 5 ad. Tenacity alone makes pyke insanely slippery and durable despite the inability to build hp. I also take tenacity runes, which adds up to 40.5% tenacity which is huge.

I truly believe tenacity is the most overlooked and undervalued stat when it comes to pyke, I'll go as far as saying that building swifties is just wrong 99% of the time. The survivability tenacity enables is frankly more significant than 10 more ms and 25% slow resist at a lower price, especially if you build youmuu first instead of umbral, but maybe that's a conversation for another day.

As of right now, according to lolalytics, the pick rate of celestial -> youmuu -> mercs is 0.2%, a rounding error, 235 games total. Merc usage in general is down at 8% vs swifties' 68%, but even then it's safe to assume mercs are being built against ap heavy comp rather than for tenacity, so the number of tenacity believers is much lower than that. Do you guys not think it's worth a try for you?

I don't know about anyone else, but seeing Keria's Pyke pop off vs DK just to lose is literally the story of my life in some of my solo queue games. There's only so much this champ can do, and late game if the enemy knows what their doing, you just get bodied.

Any other pyke mains sharing that sentiment after seeing that stellar performance and tragic ending?

Pyke main, 1.4 mil mastery here. I've noticed from my gameplay recently that I've begun missing q's way more than before. Currently emerald 3, so it could be because people are getting better at dodging as I climb, but whenever theres a pyke on the enemy team, my teammates become droolers (especially adc's) that can't dodge his hooks.

I've been playing with the same duo for close to a year now, and hes a solid player. He's really good at early game picks like draven, lucian, samira, etc. But more recently we've been trying some more late game comps because we got a little bit sick of steamrolling early, just to lose late. This has been fine for the most part as well, with him playing things like smolder, jinx, and aphelios, with me on tank, or sona or something. But with yuumi's newfound power, we've had decent success on her with our early game oriented picks, and are now trying her with late game picks.

the problem

is that this man cannot freeze the wave as well as he thinks he can, and he gets so greedy with damage and postioning and csing, because he doesn't understand that he doesnt have early game power like he normally would. ESPECIALLY with a yuumi.

This gets into the meat of the issue, that he can't play around hook supports properly, and especially pyke which is the kryptonite. If im on any other support, I can eat hooks sometimes, or manage the wave better.

If you guys could just write a couple easy rules to follow that can I can ss and send to him. I try and explain how he can survive lane against him, since 90% of his power is early game, and you just need to not feed him early and you can get your 1 item spike and outscale him, but any time I try and explain what he can do to beat him, its directly after he ends up dead to him and he's heated, so he just gets mad about me explaining it instead of getting anything from it. I dont really care if we win or not, and its a fact that sometimes you run into better players, or have a bad game, but I just know that if I ever see a pyke on the enemy team its just gg.

I have soul fighter Pyke with his mythic “limitless” chroma and I love it a lot but sometimes it does feel a little choppy gameplay wise, especially when I’m trying to hit a combo. I have 200 mythic essence and I was going to wait until Prestige soul fighter Pyke came into the mythic shop but Ashen Knight is in the mythic shop right now. Should I buy or wait? Or should I go for a different one?
