Politics Anyone know if replies reach anyone from mass texts?
I’ve been really frustrated lately with these misleading and manipulative mass texts from Republicans, and it scares me to think that people might believe this without looking anything up. I couldn’t find the bill this text refers to, but I read about Lorena, and it seems like if the GOP is trash-talking them, they must be doing something right! My guess is that their pronouns were too triggering for their little, bigoted brains.
Keep defending Mesa, Lorena 👍

Depends on the software but usually there is a dashboard that tracks responses- probably not being reviewed by the campaign/candidates themselves but whomever is running the text program has the ability to see.

Cool! I assumed I’d get an automatic message back telling me I can’t respond, so it got me curious. The thought of at least one pedo-supporter seeing my text is satisfying enough.

I usually respond with some variation of “fuck off fascist” and apparently they got enough vulgar replies that keywords like that just auto trigger the unsubscribe response as if you replied with “stop.” I usually get an “you have been successfully unsubscribed” as an instant response no matter what I send, though usually what I’m sending back is just a more colorful way of unsubscribing.

Be careful. When you reply your put on a list and likely to get spammed with more.

Lorena is the best! I hope her teammate Jacob Martinez gets elected too. There are some other positive candidates in the West Mesa area. Things are looking up post '25 TPUSA recall.

Well when I text them back telling them how horrible they are and to fuck off it texts me back saying I've been unsubscribed.

I hope I get one of their texts so I can tell them I won't be supporting the repugnican agenda to divert funds from DoE so they can misuse the school vouchers for grindr subscriptions and botox.

I don't know but a few years ago I was getting so many texts from different numbers from the Democrats I wrote down each number and started a group text with all of them together and then sent them a text message that was one word at a time.
About 5 words in I started getting texts saying they had removed me from their calling list. Apparently they don't enjoy getting annoying text messages 🤣🤣🤣
I like to think somewhere, in some office, a bunch of computers just started going nuts 😁

Former telecom guy here. Replying to them just confirms that the number is valid. It’s not actually read by anyone.
Much better to click the “block & report” option - it gets these spammers shut down faster. Yes, it’s like playing whack-a-mole, but it costs them time and money, so, block and report.
