TUS or UL for Cybersecurity
It's been on my mind for a while whether to go to TUS or UL to do cybersecurity. It always interested me but I've heard UL is very difficult in terms of lecture work and what not. What would be the pros and cons of both to anyone who has done either CS or even better, cybersecurity in either of the colleges.

I did digital forensics in LIT which was over 10 years ago now. Positive experience overall and I work in a very senior role in cyber security company now.
I was in UL doing cyber security for a while as well (research) and again positive experience.
Neither is a bad choice, you'll get out what you put into it. But you will probably have better opportunities for internships in UL.

Pretty much no one is going to have done both, so you're not going to get a super accurate answer, but a good friend of mine during college did cyber security and she seemed to manage the workload fine and she did not have great time management. She ended up with a 1.1

Yeah sorry, I rushed the post a bit lol I meant like how were other people's experiences in either or. And did she do cybersecurity in UL?

She did it in UL yes. Never really seemed like the workload was any higher than any other course

I have friends in both! I think ULs one seems fancier and is higher in points but TUSs is much more interesting and hands on material. I’m not sure about TUS but I also know that ULs is quite diverse and sometimes irrelevant though it does have you finish with a decent amount of skills.
Personally I’d suggest UL since the campus life is more active and it’s just nicer but if it’s out of pure interest I’d go for TUS.

CS job market is cooked right now, I've graduated from TUS in a CS course last year and haven't found a job yet and so have a fairly big chunk of other students in other CS courses in TUS. If you could I would avoid doing any cs related courses unless this is something you really want to do.
