Newbie needing inspo!

Post image

I just got a Jura Impressa C9. (refurbished)

What do I need to know as a beginner who knows nothing about these machines?

I am coming from having a Nespresso for years.

Congratulations on your purchase! Coming from Nespresso, this should be a nice upgrade.

Most important tip for me: This will only make coffee as good as the beans you put in it. Find out what coffee beans work well in this and dial the machine in with these beans.

Second most important, but only just, DO YOUR CLEANING. RTFM and clean like instructed or you have a biology experiment on your hands.

Enjoy the machine and especially the coffee you’ll make! :)

Completely agree. We have had ours (same model) for roughly a decade. Still going strong.

Fully agree, I use one like this regularly and as long as you treat it right it will last. Really important to do the cleaning correctly on the Juras but thats easy since everything is well documented.

Throw it in the bin worst thing I've bought constant upkeep to bricking itself needing a $500 service shipping not included

Coffee gunked up the brewing mechanism somehow caused steam to fill the unit and short out the power board.

Coffee gunking up the brewer is an extremely common thing apparently (doesn't matter the brand)
