Hi, I don't have these files in the cs2 folder (I also have CS:GO Legacy installed) or in the separately downloaded CS:GO.

There are no SDK or Hammer files in either of these two folders.

I also installed the CS:GO SDK, but I can't even launch it because it shuts down immediately.

How can I fix this?

I don't want to spam, so it's the last post until I am done with buildings in the main plaza.

Everything is on grid except the pillars, because I had to make them in a 10 scale.

I tried adding lighting to my map and this started happening for some reason. There's no leak, and I can't seem to find the brushes it's complaining about when teleporting to those coordinates. Any help?

Edit: Never mind, apparently having slopes that stretch all the way to the ceiling is bad for whatever reason.

I am struggling to figure out what causes these strange lighting inconsistencies after map is compiled. The lines of areas that is brighter doesn't always line up with the brush faces? I've also checked and the luxel scale of every surrounding face is the same and also checked that the texture has the same UV vectors? Still after compiling it stays that way. Any help would be appreciated.

I have no clue what caused this to happen. After I put lighting into my map all of a sudden my doors went invisible. I tried to run the map with no lights, no hints, no area portals, and anything else. nothing has worked so far. I would appreciate if someone could help me on this.

Edit: I figured out it's only door01_left.mdl that invisible, rest are fine.

ANOTHER EDIT: I forgot to uninstall my Gmod addons when testing the map.. I'm such an idiot!

I kinda finished working on the map, I decided to make the presentation/briefing room (or as I like to call it, the war room) structured similar to a classroom I was in like, years ago. I might make a V2 version of this with some additional rooms (such as a medical bay and a prison area), I really want to flesh out this map by a shit ton.

Im fairly new to cs2 mapping and im trying to make a minigame map, but need to make a grenade follow camera like this one from Yprac. Does anyone know what was used to make this or how I could recreate this?

I'm trying to get Hammer to run on Linux through Wine, but while it seems to be for the most part working (at least so far) the 2D viewports aren't working properly. Sometimes they render as expected, sometimes they display garbled portions of my screen or the currently selected texture. What's going wrong here and how can I fix it?

Just updated my Japanese Metro map for CS2 with custom models and textures. The map features realistic signage for map navigation and noise making turnstiles.

I'm just making a map called Derelictus if anybody cares, I've put koth_derelictus_level_sounds.txt where there are countdowns, round starting and ending, cap enables, succeeding and losing the point, but the only things that dont work are cap unlocks and round start countdown. I have everything what this map needs causes voicelines: tf_logic_koth, tf_gamerules, team_control_point, trigger_capture_area, team_control_point_master. Also i need settings of these tools to make these remaining voicelines work or maybe i'm missing something.

I'm trying to script the dropped strider but the strider that "dropstrider" spawns isn't the template strider so I can't script it - how can i make the dropped strider my scripted template strider.

Im working on a backrooms map, (if you noticed my previous posts i work on and off on multiple maps) and there's this radio in one section that supposed to play a normal song but it somehow got messed up and i think it actually sounds pretty cool and fitting for backrooms, i'd like to hear others opinion on it and if i should remove it.

So theres 2 systems of mesurments for brushes and for characters. Character scale beinng 1 hu = 1 inch but for geometry its 1hu = 1.3 inches? If everything you build supposed to be scaled to human characters is there a reason to use the 1 hu to 1.3 inches ratio?
