Question Going to the gladiators experience on saturday

Im going yo that gladiators experience on saturday in Birmingham. My kids are only young so we booked the spectators tickets so we could still do the meet and great.

Im now a little worried we are all going to be bored as none of us are contenders. Has anyone been and what was you experience? Is there stuff spectators can do?

My kids are wanting to make signs and bring them? Is it that kind of vibe? Also what's the meet and greet system like is it hours of queuing?

For reference my kids and 3 and 6.

That's like going to the spectator seats at the local leisure centre to watch strangers swimming up and down the pool.

I completely read it wrong I thought it was contenders vs the gladiators. The amount ive paid for tickets why are the contender tickets so high 🤣 it doesnt make sense

I know it’s a bit late now but they are doing a live tour where it’s contenders vs gladiators in arenas. Might be worth looking into.

I mean the whole thing seems to be focused on taking part, the spectactors tickets would normally be for you watching your family/friends, not everyone watching people they don't know.

"Cheer on your family and friends  and enjoy the electric atmosphere of Gladiators Experience! Includes access to The Vault, Archive and designated viewing areas where you can support Contenders during each event. A Spectator ticket also gains access to the food court, merch superstore and a children’s soft play area. "

So there's a soft play, you can watch some people do the events and get some food.

However I reckon the kids will still love watching it all, they can take signs, I imagine many will.

It's a long old day with bursts of real entertainment but also a lot of waiting and queuing. I'd say that your children are on the young side but if you take plenty for them to do and snacks then I'm sure you'll have a great time. Sign making is a fab activity on the day. Enjoy!

You’re talking about seeing the actual gladiators and not the gladiators experience

I don’t think you understand what the process is…. There’s a tiny soft play area that the three year old might want to do but the real gladiators / contestants aren’t there playing, it’s all the public so it will be like wandering around a funfair and telling them they can’t go on anything. There’s a meet and greet with a couple of gladiators you can pay for and queue up and a few phot points too. At the very least I’d get the six year old a contestant ticket - but then he will need someone to play with him on duel etc.

I took myself and kids aged 9-15 and they found it all extremely challenging - the eliminator is tough so your sisters old might not be able to get around it on their own so you may want to get a contestant ticket for yourself too…. But then not sure who would watch your little one?

I went with family. Was super chilled, not as busy as expected. It’s not hyper competitive, you go round at your pace, do the events you want to do, as many times as you want, can skip events/parts of events if you wish. They give you knee/elbow/headgear. Some uber fit people really going for it but not many. Mostly families doing it for a laugh and supporting their kids. Longest queue was 5 minutes. Loads of staff.
Shop wasn’t great, £35 adult t shirts, water bottles for a tenner, not a huge amount of choice.
The vault area was fun, lots of photo ops and posters/ stuff from old gladiators. Kids amused by the gladiators marketing from the 90s.
