Question Building a stash 🥴
Does anyone else got a little stash going? I swear I just keep finding sentimental or just insanely petty ones! I want to get the make market hydrangeas one still and then I’ll stop buying lol.

We aren't going to talk about how big my stash is. It boils down to: there are a lot of time limited pretty ones. There is always the temptation to buy them before they disappear. But it's so much faster to buy than to make so they build up.
End result: Im trying not to buy this year (unless I start it as soon as I buy it) and use up what I have.

Dang my Michael’s stinks because they don’t stock such pretty designs. 😉 i love the hummingbird. I also love the dragonfly canvas, i bought it before xmas but have started it yet. How to choose lol.

I do! There’s very few options to buy kits physically where I live so when I do find them in the wild, I buy a few just to be safe! My stash is quite modest at 6 and I’m currently working on two. There’s also a new one on the way. It can’t be helped 🙈

I went to a hobby lobby (I know I know, mixed feelings). They had sooo many of the canvas kits AND they were nearly half off 😭 I simply could not resist. Just starting my DP journey. But $5 a piece, and i know this will last me months!

loovvve. I’ve just started and it’s so relaxing! is this all make market? are the sunflowers on the typical canvas/fabric or is it firm like it appears? sorry for my wording choice I’m struggling with what to call it lol

Love the sunflowers .. they're from hobby lobby and are stretched canvas framed. We don't have one here and I tried buying online but they're out of stock. 😭 Hoping they'll have them back in!

Look closely next time you see a sunflower, there are in fact two varieties of leaves. You will find leaves lower down the plant are facing opposite each other and are longer and narrow in appearance. You’ll then see the upper leaves arranged in a staggered formation and appear heart-shaped.

No stash here because I’m on a low/no buy journey. Currently working on my first diamond painting, once I am done or almost done I will get another!
Do I have several from DAC in my cart? Yes. 😅

I'm trying to finish my stash before I buy new ones! I think i have 9 or 10. Currently working on the fireplace one which you have too, and it sucks! 53 colors, square!, and i swear to god it is all popcorn!!

I have several unopened beauties waiting on me, and I just started this hobby in October. 😭 I promise myself I’ll do them before buying more, but then I see a cute one and into the cart it goes!

Awwww I remember when my stash looked reasonable like that… I’m not sure how many I have now. Enough that I won’t allow myself to buy anymore until I’ve done the ones I have… unless DAC brings back Lilith, that’s the only one I’ll let myself buy lol.

I got several when JoAnn's was closing that are so pretty. My stash is about 20 paintings now 😂

Thank you for posting this. I didn’t know what any of the spring designs were. Because of this post, I did go in and found 6 I liked. I wish I could have found the dragonflies but I’m happy with my haul. 🤗

I didn’t answer your initial question…I have a BIG stash. I think at least 100+ in Amazon and AliExpress type of kits, and then at least another 50+ from more premium brands (DAC, Diamond Dotz, Make Market, etc.). I’ve reduced my spending drastically in the past 2 years, making me really appreciate the large stash.

I feel like I would definitely have a bigger stash if I didn’t also collect books and scrapbook stuff. Plus I have three kids so I have to be careful with my spending 🥴😩

I finished the dragonfly recently, mine did not come with any diamonds for #25 and I had to use a blue i had on hand

I try to keep mine small, rn i only have one in my stash, because i tried the same with yarn, and here i am with a box of storage full of yarn! I am planning on buying the new veggie one that Michaels just came out with, so i might buy it

Mine was 77 and most of them are 40 x 50. I got enough stock for a few years so wish me luck that I won't be tempted to buy a new one 😅😅

I have 3 I'm doing - a 50x70 Australian outback scene, a 30x40 sloth picture, and a 30x30 starry night cat scene. I've still got 2 other pictures to do - a garden gnome and a mountain scene. And at Christmas I received a diamond art gift card set and a diamond art coaster set as a gift. So I've got a few to do.

I mayyyybe have 100+ from DAC ..and 30-40 ish from other premium shops. And I think I have about 40 or so left from Michael’s and Amazon/Shein/Temu 🫣.. I told my kids when my number is up, they can either do them or sell them. Their choice 🤷🏻♀️😂

Having so many DAC is a dreammmm. I haven’t bought one yet because I’m scared I’ll love it too much and never wanna do one of my cheaper ones again bc of quality

And you would be 100% correct! I never ever thought I’d have more than one DAC at a time, and didn’t expect to do but maybe one a year if I was lucky. But once you do one..where there’s a will there’s a way 😂 I just can’t go back. I actually have a plan with a gf to work on some of our old budget friendly kits in Feb. She’s a friend I made on social media, so we won’t be in the same location but we will video chat or something. I do have a few that were gifts and are special for that reason so I will still do them.

Ive got i think 34 in the stache now. And most of them are at least 60x80cm.
