How often do customers actually tip after delivery?

I was a delivery driver for a local pizzeria, so I think my experiences are more unique than that of 3rd party app drivers.

Whenever I got a paid credit card delivery, 9/10 times they tipped if there was no tip already on the card

Delivering flowers, for free to people, making them extremely happy in 99% of the cases (1% is confusion)...

About 1 in 20 tip.

BUT, I understand they didnt know it was coming. It's cool. I also make a significant hourly wage.

Shocking people everyday with happiness is awesome.

I’ve gotten it around 4 times on the app, and I’ve been given around $15 in cash

In over 800 deliveries on DD it's happened to me less than 10 times.
