Question About Social Attitudes Toward Escort Visits in Apartment Buildings
Czech Republic is often considered a very sex-positive country.
So, I am curious about something. If a man invites escorts to his apartment and his neighbors notice that different women are visiting him everyday, how might they react?
Would the neighbors confront him and tell him to stop and to vacate the apartment, because maybe there are children in the building, or because it is a family-oriented area?
Or would they generally ignore it?

Czech Republic is often considered a very sex-positive country.
According to..? Don't confuse "Czech Republic is historically known as a place for sex pests to visit and so some still do today, contributing to the continuing problem of sex trafficking in the country" as meaning "sex positive". No one has a positive opinion to sex trafficking except for other sex pests.
If a man invites escorts to his apartment and his neighbors notice that different women are visiting him everyday, how might they react?
No one is standing at their peepholes caring who is coming to visit you.

To be entirely fair.... The nosy Hag In Chief from our apartment block DID in fact "report" me to my landlord a few years back for "multiple different men coming and going to the apartment constantly", and accused me of running a private brothel.
....My male friends. It was my male friends. Like three of them. Coming over to hang out occasionally. I didn't even have a boyfriend at the time.
It amounted to nothing, my landlord just laughed it off when he called me about it, but it was quite the WTF moment.
So, sometimes nosy grandmas do keep an eye on it, actually.

We are sex-positive, but not prostitution-positive, and especially not sex-tourism-positive.
That being said, barring some soon-to-be-extinct gossiping exceptions, we prefer to mind our own business, so keep the noise down and you should be ok.

2500 x 31 = 77500
OP must be rolling in dough.

OP can spend 77500 on this habit but can't afford to rent a house, it seems like.

A house has the same issue. The neighbors might watch. It's the same thing. I talked about apartments because people in general, in apartments mind their own business.

This question is quite hypothetical. The escorts are quite expensive. If a man could afford escort visits "every day," or frequently, he would probably be so wealthy that he could live in a residential area where the neighbors are not a problem.
On the other hand, if a man lives In a regular apartment where he has to care about the opinion of his neighbors, he probably cannot afford frequent escort visits and it should not be any problem, either.
Also remind your friend to play safe :-D.

Czechs are experts at minding their own business. Having said that, unless you're making a big spectacle or being loud and disruptive, nobody cares. What do you mean by sex-positive exactly by the way?

Likely that sex work is not illegal in Czechia, you don't get public caning by having extra-marital affair, and stuff like that.

I stayed in apartments 3 separate times for 2 weeks in Prague, I only ever saw one neighbor.
I think there is a big factor here: are you inviting over escorts who dress like street prostitutes or like normal, everyday women. Perhaps reminding the woman to dress conservatively because you live in a residential building would solve the problem. Aside from that, I am sure, apart from any airbnb owner type restrictions, if you have a lease, you have a right to whatever visitors you want, as long as they donât disturb your neighbors. When I was an expat living in a residential building that tried to impose what I perceived as âforeigner onlyâ rules on me, I just asked myself would any local who owned or paid rent in the building stand for such restrictions? The answer was no! Then I pushed back and never had any issues again.

"What i perceived as "foreigner only" rules"
Someone was asshole here. But who was it depends on what rules are we talking about.

I literally had a neighbor standing outside my window recording the sound of the jets from my jacuzzi and then turn around and say they could hear it from their living room and tried to use the audio from outside my window as proof that it was audible inside their apartment.
Another neighbor made a loud music complaint⌠when I was not even in the city at the time.
Another said I was running a webcam studio because I had various young women coming in and out.
Once, a friend who is a doctor was scolded about being a prostitute (because she had tattoos and was wearing a cocktail dressâwe were coming from an event for her job)â she really laid into that guy. But I had to console her crying.
No, they were definitely the assholes.
I could go on and on.

Yep, that definitely sounds like they were the assholes. Although I would bet it had more to do with envy of your apparent success (having Jacuzzi, young women visiting you,...) than with your foreigner status.

Look at moneybags over here having escorts daily. I am sure if either:
- your escorts are filthy looking whores, and/or in general very improper to be around normal families in an apartment complex, or
- are causing an audible ruckus
You would be fine. I also had the same thought myself and I am sure some neighbours who notice someone who looks obviously like a prostitute entering your house might murmur about it with their spouse later, but honestly most won't care. You are in a country with highest atheism rate, and largest number of porn actresses per capita in the world...

Thanks. Good answer. So, they have to dress well, not like a street prostitute.

u/BorderKeeper 3d ago
Most proper escorts would, altough most of them would prefer if you went to their privat instead of them coming to you, but that's just my biased opinion.

Ah,man,i love the weird historic stereotype about us czech women being all buncha prostitutes. We dont give a crap who you bang. Just respect their safety and dignity. Even if you pay them.
1
u/Confident-Day-4278 3d ago
Brother, I never said that czech women are prostitutes. I have respect for your country and it's women. I just wanted to know what others think about who engage in this type of activities. I'm sorry if I have offended you.
1
u/SkadiSkagskard 3d ago
Sorry, i assumed "sex positive country" was just a diplomatic way of saying"you are known for sex tourism"𤣠its such a weird stereotype.

u/TheReaderDude_97 3d ago
Most people here don't care about what their neighbors are doing unless they are loud at night or causing any ruckus.

u/Urtan_TRADE 3d ago
I haven't seen the face of my neighbour for 4 months when I first moved. No one would give shit
1
u/Confident-Day-4278 3d ago
But when they go out for the office and grocery, and come back, they don't see them face to face? How's that possible?
1
u/_8975 3d ago
If you arenât loud or showing them off too much, it should be ok. If you are loud, they will make problems
1
u/onlymaschimbas 3d ago
âShowing them offâ
I envisioned a 1960s poster of a drawing with a man showing off his bright, shiny new car! đ

u/Eneerom 3d ago
I do not think anyone would care unless there are sex noises, furniture moving in the night hours 22:00-6:00 and that has nothing to do with you having an escort but everything to do with people wanting to sleep, you are making out in the corridors where everyone could see, if it looks like you bringing people on drugs or weird looking existences into the buildings (safety concern) In general people mind their own business, and do not like annoying things like loud noises (screaming kids, barking dogs, constantly renovating neighbors, screaming, load tv etc.), obnoxious smells, and if you flood your neighbors Like be mindful of the fact you are not living in the building alone, and walls are thin

Nobody is going to ask you to vacate your apartment just because you have a lot of female visitors.
