Weird friendly. The World Cup is some load of bollox if Ireland goes out and beats these and Canada next week. Slight forgiving nature in me for the performance. But.......BUT these lads were poor. How are we not hammering them? Cut them open twice in the first ten minutes.

That's the joys of being a European side.

There's probably an argument for 1, maybe 2 more spaces for UEFA considering the stupid size of the tournament now but the rest of the world has got to get their shot on the world stage too.

Nah there is too few European teams.

Totally unfair that 60% !! Of South American teams qualify and the 7th gets a playoff.

At the very least there should be more intra-confederation playoffs for UEFA teams. Then everyone gets their shot and the best still qualify.

It's not even about that. It's about how tonight's opponents, Canada and Sudan are in a group. Some minnows from Europe would live to be in that group. The disparity is ridiculous.

Sudan are not in the World Cup. It’s Qatar, Bosnia, Switzerland and Canada.

Canada qualify as a host nation (although they likely would have qualified anyway).

Bosnia are the ones we should be looking at rather than Qatar, they’re ranked 10 places below us and still qualified

Ranked 65.

Lower than us.

And I have no idea what group Sudan is in but Switzerland is the other team.
