Fit Check Are big boobs a problem??

I have three different carriers I have tried with my baby. When he was much younger I tried the soft rap but it felt like it was squishing him and it made me really nervous that I wasn’t wearing it right. I watched videos, asked friends etc. and it just never felt comfortable. It might now that he is older. I have two structured carriers that he can last in for about 10 minutes before the screaming ensues and he’s scraping his face back-and-forth across my chest, of course facing my body. The momcozy, and the Infantino. All gifts, I can’t afford these crazy expensive carriers. I wish. Anyway, I’ll attach a picture but when he’s in this carrier it’s like he’s trying to push away from me and can’t relax down, then when he does his face is against my chest and he doesn’t like to turn it to either side. I have rather large boobs and I’m wondering if it’s just super uncomfortable for him to be squished against my body like that. I’ve tried adjusting it every possible way. In the Infantino (grey with turquoise), it just feels like his head is totally unsupported and he won’t rest it against my chest. Pretty much the same thing with the mom cozy (navy blue with constellations) not to mention it’s the most god-awful thing to try to get on anyway. Out of the two I think I like the Infantino better and I think so does he. HELP

As a fellow member of the Bazongas club, wearing a bra helps me get a good fit or else my Bazongas get in the way. The Infantino here isn’t supporting his legs well in the M shape, he is dangling. The Momcozy one looks a bit better. Is there a way to fold the fabric down at his neck? The top of the panel should not cover his head, his airway isn’t visible. It should be at the nape of the neck.

Yes! Folded down now! I think the Infantino one has, like the newborn setting for the legs and then an older baby setting. Maybe in the older baby one.

This looks like a way better fit!

Good deal! I almost feel like the mom cozy one is still a little bit big for him. But not for long! Now it’s just getting him used to being in a carrier! I will be very happy when the screaming stops lol

Awesome- the fit looks much better now! Is he more comfy? One more thing would be to do a little pelvic tuck so his butt is deeper in the carrier. Unrelated to the fit, but when mine was that age, timing was important. He was happiest in the carrier if he had just eaten or if he was getting sleepy.

also the Infantino’s buttons are for world facing vs facing you- unfortunately it is not adjustable and I would ditch it honestly

Dang…. Well. Does the momcozy look like the right size? Someone said it may still be too big

Now that you adjusted the fit, I can tell that it does fit. The way you had it before made it seem like he didn’t fit! His airway is clear and he’s supported knee to knee. I’m not an expert! but it looks good to me!

Wait what do you have to do for the older baby setting? I have the same one for my 12 month old and I usually have to hold her legs up myself. I cant find the instruction manual for it either

There are button snaps down on the strap that goes around your waist

Oh, you might’ve been asking about the Infantino one. Were you? If so after this baby is done feeding I’ll get up to get it and show you

Yes the infantino, her legs just end up sticking down and I have to hold them in the M shape myself

So you unsnap the pieces from the front and put that little toggle through the button hole. Hard to explain without a video. Also, cannot get up, baby cluster feeding lol

Ohhhh! I just discovered those toggle things today, thank you! Will try it out the next time I use it 🙏 also, praying your baby will be done soon lmao 😂

I found my 50% baby grew out of the infantino around 7 months, even with the flaps folded out. I couldn’t get the seat to go knee pit to knee pit. 12 months may be too big, even with everything folded out correctly

Yeah honestly, shes 98th for height and 80something for weight, i recently bought the infantino because she grew out of the nuby one I had previously almost immediately and hadn't bothered to get another one because she didnt like it, but since ive gone back to work, shes become a bit of a limpet and my arms cant take it anymore lmao I think im gonna look into a sling ring anyway

I have the infantino one and struggled with the M shape till I figured it out! The bottom part is folded for a tighter fit for newborns. U need to undo that, and then there's a button to fasten it sideways. That will give u the m shape! It was driving me crazy till I figured it out

Yeah that little toggle. You would think they would make the fastener the same and less of a mystery lol

IMO this still isn't fitting quite right, the seat looks too wide and you'll want to boost them up and tighten the straps to get baby off the waistband. Right now it looks like their legs are being pinched.

Here's a babywearing educator setting up this carrier, I would copy what she's doing except you can possibly wear your waistband a little lower (she's using a pretty small doll here). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANFcoF7CBtA
