Discussion Best college lacrosse player ever?

Is Chloe Humphrey the best college lacrosse player of all time? I’ve been watching her all season and as a SOPHOMORE I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player that young and be that talented. Do you think after Chloe’s college career that she will go down as the greatest to ever do it? Or do you think it’s someone else? I want to hear from you!

Discussion Why are people on the main lacrosse page so rude?

I asked for advice after getting cut yesterday as a freshman. The people in the replies just said “you’re clearly awful at lacrosse” and “you’re a bad person” for thinking I should’ve been on the team.

Discussion Hop/Mich today - remote announcers

Did anyone watching the Hopkins - Michigan game on ESPNU notice a lack of quality in the broadcast with the (very good) announcers not actually being at Homewood Field?

They were limited to seeing what the home audience could see and so there was little observation of the state of the benches, and they had no idea about any penalties away from the focus of the broadcast. I’m guessing that since they didn’t see anything else, they couldn’t tell the director in the van to pull up some alternative views for replay.

Anyway, I appreciate women’s lax being broadcast on the U instead of espn+, but I don’t think they would ever not have a crew present on site for a men’s game broadcast on ESPNU.

Discussion Team bonding ideas needed!

I am a first time head coach of my own high school women’s team. And there is a lot of new things I’m experiencing with the territory which I love. I always wanted to be a coach better than I had so I want to create community with my team with a team bonding day some film and fun stuff like that after practice. So onto my question

Is there any team bonding stuff you did with your teams when you played or currently play for that you absolutely love and enjoyed? Or any bonding stuff you did that you felt helped your team grow?

Any and all help is welcomed!

Discussion Coaching in Germany Opportunities

Hi r/lacrosse, there are many open lacrosse coaching positions in Germany at the moment! Here is a list of clubs that are looking for coaches: https://www.dlaxn.de/coaching-in-germany/

Not only is Germany a great opportunity to spread the game, but also a great place to continue your studies, work abroad and learn German (you can also get by with English at the start)!

If you are interested in a job opening, don’t hesitate to write the clubs directly. Also, if you want some more info on what it is like to live here and coach, feel free to DM me directly.

Viele Grüße aus Deutschland 🍻🇩🇪

Edit: not all open positions are posted to https://www.dlaxn.de/coaching-in-germany/. A lot of teams post open positions directly to their Instagram. In the comment below, you will find a list of German clubs and their respective Instagrams.

Discussion Using high pockets as low pockets

Why do you think almost all players are still throwing, catching and shooting with the style that matches a low pocket with no hold when almost everyone is using a high pocket with good-to-high hold? Players like Charlotte North are the exception, but why doesn't everyone use their stick like her? Thank you!
