SIB KCD2 or BG3

Hello guys, I want to start playing RPG games and story driven games since ive been onky playing cod and the finals alot. I did play the witcher 3 too and cyberpunk but I want a game where the immersion and gameplay are a big factor.

I know that my choices matter in both games but whats more in depth in your experience?

Thanks.

Baldurs gate 3 is absolutely amazing. But it plays kind of like a super in depth board game (dnd) so it’s not super immersive but it’s fucking awesome. Haven’t played either KCD games but I imagine they are more immersive

Can’t go wrong with both of them but i enjoyed bg3 more! Bg3 can be a gamble since you’ve never played a crpg before but if it clicks for you then it’ll be lowkey relaxing

What would be highkey relaxing?

I guess a benzo.

Can't go wrong. I would tip a little to BG3 because of choice depth and I tend to like my RPGs with a party but seriously both are incredible.

KCD2 is technically more immersive, but, BG3 is a significantly better game on the whole.I would recommend BG3 if you can only pick 1.

I wouldn't say it's a better game. It is a better rpg tho. It's an RPG in it's purest form

Id say choices in bg3 matter more than in kcd2. ive played bg3 like 6 times and discovered new outcomes for quests in every single one of them. iirc most kcd2 quests have like 2 outcomes, sometimes 3.

but you really cant go wrong with either. KCD2 is my favorite game oat and BG3 is number 2.

Both phenomenal. KCD is more immersive but don’t sleep on BG3

They're so different that it's really difficult to compare them. Really depends on your preferences/mood I think. I love turn-based and CRPGs in general but my friend absolutely HATES them and will never enjoy BG3 or anything similar.

Immersion, KCD 2 1000%

Choices mattering, Easily BG3. Playthrough can be vastly different depending on the choices you make.

Guess it depends what you want more atm. But definitely play both at some point.

Two of my absolute favorite games of the past decade! Can't go wrong with either one, if the themes interest you. One is a turn based game in a high fantasy setting, where you can create your own character and pick your sidekicks from a variety of companions. The other is a real time combat game set in a historical setting, with one pre-made main character mostly going solo. Both have a great story and player choices leading to different outcomes.

BG3 can seem a bit overwhelming for anyone without DND experience, since there are a lot of items and skills and different classes you could play. But it's really fun to try stuff out and learn as you go, if you don't let it intimidate you. The two lowest difficulty settings are especially beginner friendly.

KCD has a 'learning by doing' skill system, so you'll get better the more time you're putting into any activity. Many newcomers will complain about early game combat being too hard, and they drop the game instead of practicing and giving the main character (or themselves) the chance to improve. Pick your battles and give him time to grow, it's definitely worth it.

The immersion is on a whole different level with KCD, while the depth of your choices is on a whole different level in BG3

You can’t really go wrong either way. But do you want open world free flow combat or turn based? KCD2 is probably the better option if you’re looking for immersion
