ERSTE HILFE / ROTES KREUZ: Gibt es sowohl am Campingplatz, am Caravanplatz, als auch im Kerngelände bei der BLUE und RED STAGE.

Das Rote Kreuz wird täglich mit über 100 Sanitäter*innen und Notärzt*innen aus verschiedenen Bundesländern im Einsatz sein. Sanitätshilfestellen am Campingplatz sowie die Einsatzleitung und mehrere Rettungsfahrzeuge sind rund um die Uhr besetzt, zwei weitere Rotkreuz-Stationen bei der BLUE und RED STAGE jeweils während der Bühnenzeiten.

Hier einige nützliche Festivaltipps, die dir einen Besuch beim Roten Kreuz ersparen können:

DIE RICHTIGE KLEIDUNG:

• Sonnenschutz – eine Kappe schützt vor einem Sonnenstich, Sonnencreme vor einem schmerzhaften Sonnenbrand
• Regenschutz – das Wetter kann schnell umschlagen, Gummistiefel nicht vergessen!
• Warme Kleidung – in der Nacht kann es kalt werden
• Festes Schuhwerk – das Gelände besteht aus Wiesenland und ist daher nicht eben, jedes Jahr müssen wir relativ viele Knöchelverletzungen versorgen

SCHÜTZE DEINEN KÖRPER:

• Ausreichend nicht-alkoholische Flüssigkeit trinken – zwei bis drei Liter Wasser am Tag wären optimal (es gibt übrigens kostenlose Trinkwasserstellen, die in der Festival App eingezeichnet sind)
• Ruhepausen einlegen – ein Festival ist anstrengend, überfordere deinen Körper nicht
• Gehörschutz tragen – beim Aufenthalt vor der Bühne oder vor den Boxenanlagen, um Gehörschäden vorzubeugen (solchen Ohrenschutz gibt es kostenlos an mehreren Stellen am Gelände!)
• Verschriebene Medikamente und Kopfschmerztabletten nicht vergessen
• Ein kleines Erste-Hilfe-Päckchen mit Pflasterstrips, Pinzette etc. sollte in deiner Campingausrüstung enthalten sein, damit kleinere Verletzungen auch selbst vor Ort versorgt werden können
• Bitte bedenke, dass Verhütungsmittel sowie „die Pille danach“ vom Roten Kreuz nicht ausgegeben werden!

Sollten dir von unseren Notärzt*innen Medikamente verschrieben werden, hast du die Möglichkeit, diese bei uns zu bestellen. Unser MED-Shuttle fährt täglich und besorgt diese dann für dich. Es sind lediglich die Rezeptgebühr und ein Unkostenbeitrag im Vorhinein zu entrichten.

Mitgebrachte Medikamente, die gekühlt gelagert werden müssen, können bei der Rotkreuz-Station am Campingplatz abgegeben werden. Dort werden sie in einem Medikamentenkühlschrank von uns in Verwahrung genommen.

Solltest du die Hilfe des Roten Kreuzes benötigen, zögere nicht, sie in Anspruch zu nehmen – das Rote Kreuz ist gerne für dich da!

First Aid is available at the camping ground, the caravan site, the main area and at the BLUE and RED STAGE.

The Red Cross will be on site every day with over 100 paramedics and emergency doctors from all over Austria. Our help desks as well as the operations management and rescue vehicles are staffed 24 hours a day, with two additional Red Cross stations at the BLUE and RED STAGE during the stage times.

Here are some useful festival tips that can save you a visit to the Red Cross:

THE RIGHT CLOTHING:

• Sun protection – a cap protects you from sunstroke, sun cream from a painful sunburn
• Rain protection – the weather can change quickly, don’t forget rubber boots!
• Warm clothing – it can get cold at night
• Sturdy shoes – the terrain consists of grassland and is therefore not flat, every year we have to treat a relatively large number of ankle injuries

PROTECT YOUR BODY:

• Drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids – two to three liters of water a day would be optimal (by the way, there are free drinking water points marked on the festival app)
• Take rest breaks – a festival is exhausting, don’t overtax your body
• Wear ear protection – when standing in front of the stage or in front of the speakers to prevent hearing damage (ear protection is available free of charge in several places on the site!)
• Don’t forget your prescription medication and headache tablets
• A small first aid kit with plaster strips, tweezers etc. should be included in your camping equipment so that you can treat minor injuries yourself on site
• Please note that contraceptives and the morning-after pill are not issued by the Red Cross!

In case our medical staff prescribes medication, it is possible to place an order. Our MED-Shuttle is operating daily and will provide you with the necessary medication in a timely manner. Please note that there’s a prescription and service fee attached.

Medicines brought with you which need to be kept refrigerated can be handed in at the Red Cross station at the camping site where they’ll be stored safely in a medicine fridge. In case you need assistance with anything, please don’t hesitate to contact the Red Cross, they are there for you and will help you in any way they can.

Hi everyone, thank you for allowing me into your subreddit!

I am coming to Nova Rock for the first time this year, from the Netherlands with a friend. We are experienced festivallers (Graspop, Rock Am Ring, Dynamo, etc.) and are very excited to see what Nova Rock has to offer.

Hi,

Last year I had my first time on Nova Rock, and I'm going this year too. It was awesome, and I had a great time, I just want to share a few tips that I learned.

• If you want to use the Special Train from Vienna, you have to buy the Special Ticket. Regular tickets don't apply (even though the regular ticket say "all type of trains")
• The shuttlebus from the train station to the festival was €5 (iirc), paid only in cash. (No card, no cashless payment available). There are taxis too, but they only accept cash too, so have some cash with you.
• There will be long queues at the water refill points. It can take 20-30 minutes to refill your bottles.
• Put your shoes inside the tent.

Please add some tips if you have some!
