This weeks Spiro call was great

It's been awwwwhile since I laughed so hard. Tom and Spiro singing BNL's Pinch Me together had me laughing so hard. Spiro rambling on after Tom cuts the song off was hilarious. Tom's exacerbation when he asks Spiro what BNL has over him. Spiro's singing/humming during this call and others and his consistent eagerness to please Tom is great. The Led Zeppelin vulgar Hot Dog song bit was classic Tom.

I really thought when Spiro handed the phone over to his dad it would be Wurster. I had theory that Spiro was Wurster's son(if he has one) in character. Got kinda weird when Tom hung up on him at the end. If Tom keeps taking Spiro's calls this eposode has plenty of future material. I just finished this part of the show and don't know if he calls later.

The chemistry/friction is great. I was exercising and listening to the show and I had stop, because I was laughing so hard.

What do you mean? I wouldn’t have believed he was real, but I’ve known a couple of guys who’d go all shrill like that arguing about sports — and were constantly trying to incite sports arguments.

However, Spiro lying to his Dad at the end saying it wasn’t a show is not going to go down well with Tom. Spiro’s on thin ice, possibly probation.

His dad sounded like a mellower version of him. I don't know why I was surprised by that, but I was.

Yeah I wasn’t sure if it was just Spiro just doing a dad voice on speaker phone. Which would be hilarious.

I want to know what this dude looks like. It’s the same feeling i get when someone is driving like an a-hole and i want to see the face of the maniac that acts a certain way. That being said the calls are hilarious and unhinged and a little scary when we get to peek into a stranger’s psyche and just how unmoored it may be. Tom brings em out and i love the show for it.

Yeah, he definitely reminds me of some of the more eccentric regular callers during Tom's wfmu days. He's like Larry da Perv in like is this a bit or is this guy real?

I love the Spiro calls. Tom’s specific ability to handle them is what makes Best Show the best
