Comics When Kamala Khan finally met Kitty Pryde what was a moment of history felt more bittersweet…

When we finally got Kamala to meet Kitty Pryde what was a momentous occasion felt bittersweet when you look at it and makes you almost feel sorry for them and the weird thing is that as a reader you do not which character to feel sorry for the most…

Especially when you consider the similarities between the two characters in a way.

Does anyone else feel that way too when they first met when Kamala joined the X-men during the Orchis era of the fall of Karkoa?

They met for the first time in the Champions, IIRC, when Kamala and her friends hid out on the Marauder, and she seemed fairly happy with that meeting. As much as possible, given the circumstances, at least.

Kitty's also obscure within the Marvel universe itself. It's a running joke that no one ever knows who she is, even in the Krakoa setting. Ms Marvel is a far higher profile figure than Shadowcat, and if anything that she knew about Kitty's time on Excalibur goes to establish her as a serious superhero fan

They had a better interaction in the Giant-Size House of M book, from Second Genesis. Iman and Sabir didn't visit a lot of mutant interactions in the precious, sparse time they were afforded for their minis. What issue did they properly meet in? Was it a Fall of X issue? Because, as far as I know, it was New Mutant. And Second Genesis is not something I especially try to remember, along with Nyx, but I did like the interactions between Kitty and Kamala.

Make Kamala a Marauder under Kitty's lead, and Somnus back on the team, and I will buy ever issue. That would be a good place to explore their interpersonal overlap.

EDIT: I forgot that the Champions met the Duggan-written Maurders. The fact that I said Marauders and forgot about that! I'm finally collecting all the trades for the Champions run though, and I have 7 out of 9 of them coming, so I'll have less excuses to forget after that.

It’s more like they’re two girls that had their worlds changed forever from encounter with superheroes.

They also rely on their respective religions too and sometimes influence their actions later on in their super heroics.

Also, Kitty’s experiences as a heroine has somewhat changed her life and made her at times colder give her recent experiences in the past few years.

Also Kitty Pryde was one of Marvel's prominent youth orientated heroes and Kamala was one of many who has kept up that tradition.
