General New lamps: Varptross & Vaterbom
Saw these new Bamboo lamps. What do you guys think? I usually go for the bold colorful ones, but I think these look cool with the warm woody colors.

Use this as an opportunity to take a look at the recalls in your country so you do not have something in your home that should have been returned.

The IKEA website provides stock information when you select your store on the article page, please check there before posting. You can also sign up for back-in-stock notifications by email or SMS.
Stock check requests in the comments must include the following information:
Retail co-workers are not able to advise on availability for online orders. I have heard from a call centre co-worker that they are not able to check stock at the distribution centres either, and that only the IKEA website can provide this information by adding the item to the shopping cart, and seeing if a delivery option is available.

Was near an IKEA today and just browsed for a bit. Found these fun IKEA Skaftsärv dimmable LED lights. And the best part, they respond to music as well. Not bad for €5n

Heyo, doing a 5 cab run ~13ft long on a wood frame (no ikea legs). I compared the instructions which said 32 & 3/16 (on top of the 4.5in legs) against the 4ft frame I had and lowered .5 in but it still looked too high. I checked the Youtuber kitchen renees who specializes in ikea cabs and tried to follow along his vid where he tears apart the suspension rail instruction sheet.
I ended up aligning it at a height that seems to be ~1inch too high oddly enough, so the bracket sits in the rail bottom lip. The rail isn't actually holding the cab up, it's just the lips seated at a height where if you pulled hard on the cab it doesn't budge. The potential issue is the french cleats won't go through the brackets because of the height (bottom lip on rail is blocking it).
I got my frame as level as I could with shims and the cabs were all level during a dry fit (pre-suspension rail). If I leave things as-is, the rail basically serves as a sort-of anti-tip mechanism but no other utility.
Basically, is it worth lowering the suspension rail to use the french cleat? I've never used one before and can't really tell what value it provides aside from creating a clear "lock" on the rail and letting you micro adjust the cab position.
Example of the potential issue:

Example of 1 cab sitting in the rail:

Dry Fit:

Random other context:
- no horizontal studs at the height needed to just forgo the rail and drill right to stud
- other thought was to drill my own triangle template for the brackets 1inch above with pilot holes so the rail can remain in-place; the brackets just move up so the french cleat fits through.

Hi guys 👋🏻 I’m thinking of purchasing this plant stand as it is very cheap, however it only exists in white which does not suit my home. Do you think I would be able to paint it? The material is metal. Thanks!

I have a HEMNES dresser that I bought around 2017 and two HEMNES nightstands from around 2020. They match each other really well.
I’m looking at buying the tall HEMNES dresser/chest new in 2026, but I’m wondering if IKEA has made any noticeable changes over the years (color, finish, wood grain, hardware, dimensions, construction, etc.).
Has anyone bought newer HEMNES pieces and compared them next to older ones? I’m trying to figure out if a new one will blend in with my existing furniture or if there will be obvious differences. The black color specifically.

Hey everyone, I am building the storklinta nightstand X2 and both back pieces were manufactured wrong. The holes for the back piece to be attached were at the very bottom, which made it so that the top of the back piece went over the height of the nightstand. I had to drill four extra holes because of this. Did anyone else have this issue?

(Uk) We recently redecorated a room in our house and I stripped and repainted the RAM mirror that was in there (15 years since last done). But I’m pretty sure the mirror wasn’t new in there last time it was decorated and I can’t find anything on google to tell me.
So, please help solve this itch for me and let me know when I likely bought this mirror?

hello! i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for my situation. i bought an ingolf stool about a year ago. maybe like 2 months later the back broke. i’m a medical student so i was like very stressed and didn’t have the time to exchange/return the item. i briefly glanced at ikea’s return policy and was like cool i have a year to take care of this (wrong!).
now, school is done and i went to return it only to find out the warranty was 6 months actually, AND the product has been discontinued. i asked if they could make an exception because i’m a student and they offered free shipping on a new product, which i’m not really interested in. i have two other barstools in the same style so i would need to buy a new set of three. kind of at a loss, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or ideas! thank you 🫶🏼

I received the delivery of SMASTAD loft bed in 6 boxes but after opening box 1 and 2, I don't see any assembly parts in them, only the boards.
Are they in another box ? Or did I need to order them separately?

Bought an expensive kitchen from IKEA. Design process was pretty good and getting service for follow-up has been terrible.
Parts from the design that never made it on the order and then getting someone to help order, getting anyone on the phone, etc.
Intention here not merely to complain but has anyone discovered some way to get help besides waiting on the phone or online for hours?

Hi everyone, I ordered two orange chair beds from ikea ps 2026 and I was thinking to get two belts to connect the two pieces and create a double seater, but also a bed 1.60x2m. When used as bed I will have a matress topper of at least 8cm. This will create a bed with height 27cm.
Thoughts or improvements in my project?

Hi everyone,
I'm feeling pretty exhausted and disappointed right now. I bought a bed online because it looked beautiful and fit perfectly with the vision I had for my room. The problem is that I've never lived alone before and I've never assembled furniture by myself.
Long story short, after five days of struggling with it, I've decided to get rid of it. I don't even know how I'm going to do that yet, but at this point I just need a new bed.
If anyone has bought a bed in these dimensions and found the assembly genuinely easy, I'd love to hear your recommendations. I'm looking for something with:
- Clear instructions
- Pre-drilled holes
- Minimal screwing and complicated steps
- Assembly that one person can realistically do alone
If you've personally bought a bed like this and would recommend it, please share the model or a link. I'd be incredibly grateful.
Thank you! :(

Im normally quite the opposite of an early riser, but its been insanely warm here so i woke up on 7 am to find the only thing i wanted from that collection finally restocked. Not even at the closest ikea to me, we got there so early the whole store was practically empty.
Least stressful ikea trip ever

I can’t even go back and add air now cause these two assume this position every time I go near this thing

In Canada for context, I remember them selling these really dense, fudgy chocolate cakes/ brownies in the frozen section. I think they would come in packs of 6, they were rectangular and they tasted kind of cinnamon-y. I remember only being able to find them in the fall and winter, and I don’t think I’ve seen them at all since 2019-ish. I can’t find any mention of them online, and I’d love to find them so I can recreate them!
