News Kindly follow the subreddit rules going forward!

Hi All,

Posts/Comments will be moderated from today and if it's not adhering to the subreddit's rules, they will be removed. We've a good community here for one of the best TV shows and would like to keep it that way although it wasnt the case since this sub is created.

I've approved most of the posts/comments which were queued for approval since there were no subreddit rules to adhere to, however it will not be the case now.

If there are any suggestions, would love to hear them but it's upto us mods to decide

Have a good day!

Discussion I made a house quote searcher Spoiler

Have seen a lot of posts in this sub asking about where a certain quote is from, so I thought I would make a website to help find them. Link to the website is in comments, it uses a vector database to find the quotes which lets it find similar results to what you're searching for, although it does end up missing some of the time. Was a pretty fun project to work on, and I'll probably add more features to it in the future if they're wanted

Meme ADHD medication taped to House's portrait to trigger a Pavlovian response.

Post image

Today I realized I've developed a positive Pavlovian response / placebo effect(?) to just seeing my ADHD medication (basically a stimulant) after forgetting to actually take it and feeling almost the same way as I do when it's actually inside my body. As I already had House's portrait set up by my laptop to observe me while I study, I decided to try and keep it up by placing the pill somewhere I could see it. Of course the most logical place to put it was in his hand so he could hold it up for me. Thanks doc.

The PC edition of the House Md game start screen is nearly identical to Season 4 Episode 7 'Ugly' timestamp 37:12.

The angle is slightly different, more zoomed in, and Greg is wearing a different colored shirt, but otherwise its identical. Thought this was interesting and wanted to share.

Season 5 Spoilers Cameron's poor character writing shadowing Chase's yearning. Spoiler

So, so far cameron's character has been extremely inconsistent. People often differentiate her actions in season 1-3 from 3- to more seasons.

I think that's because she had a massive personality shift not in a good way either.

As she started to become extremely annoying in season 1-3 she quit and became a side character. But did any of y'all observed that she was behaving very differently?

Like- brunet cameron and blonde cameron are two different people almost. Maybe they wanted to highlight the "house" effect on her but it felt like she was trying hard to put up the whole "i'm tougher than I look" persona poorly.

Other than that- yes. Her whole emotional usage of chase is very evident, first coaxing him to have sex in work, very evidently pining for house and denying it whenever chase asked her, then ruining his proposal, that one was pretty bitchy of her amongst many other bitchy things she had done like- the whole trying to undermine his efforts by labeling it as "it's just 3 days vacation". Now keeping her dead husband's sperm? Like- atp i just skip all the cameron and chase scenes because I want to reach inside the screen and slap her real hard.

But in the back of my mind I did sometimes think, how come chase isn't just breaking it off with her? Now, I know it might be too logical question for someone who is down bad in love with her. But he did continued taunting her for sabotaging their relationship by mentioning house all the time. I still pity him and i m very excited for after divorce arc of his. But it's almost as if he is very self aware as well as aware of his relationship dynamic with her yet continues to put up with her outrageous actions.

I still pity him though even though it's bit pathetic but whenever cameron hurts him I do think he deserves better.

ALSO I was going through one post in the sub and literally someone had the argument that cameron is only hated because of sexism and house is not hated even though he is bigger piece of shit. Like- no kidding!? He IS bigger piece of shit.

But when we see actions of someone from their pov we tend to sympathies with them because we see their struggles from their pov, house is loved the same way walter white is loved in breaking bad. We rationalise and sympathies with their logics and struggles. Yet after every episode ends you DO know that yes they're one crappy person.

Although yes there is sexism in the show to good extend but so is racism the whole show is house trying to get reaction out of people by poking around stereotypes about certain group of people.

People hate cameron because she is the biggest hypocrite (which kinda does fit with the whole show's theme) she is self righteous person, who spits out rules and regulations and morality like it's her core values yet her actions speaks otherwise, everyone is aware of that even foreman said to chase when he mentioned about her dead husband's sperm, that she has issues.

I don't think it's because of deliberate sexism because you don't see anyone hating thirteen and Amber, sure there might be few hate posts but tbh....that many hate posts circulates about every character in the sub which is reasonable not every personality is to be liked by everyone.

But they stick to their character, they're consistent. Sure, you might hate a character when they do something outrageous like amber literally manipulating thirteen to win a spot in house's team or foreman literally injection cameron with the infection but they redeem themselves by sticking to that consistency. And cameron doesn't.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this :)

Discussion I've always wondered what happened to this character after the ending. Spoiler

This is a theory about what happened to 13 after the ending, which I found online, and it's haunting and beautiful at the same time.

It was becoming hell. The last few years had been bad; this was worse. She wasn't herself anymore. She'd been confined to a hospital, unable to take care of herself. On occasion, Taub or Foreman or Chase might come to visit, but quite often, she was alone. She preferred it. She hated seeing her mother like this and now hated how her former colleagues would see her. Night had come and the nurses who'd kept her company had retired to the nurse's station for the evening. As the Huntington's gripped her, she could only convulse and writhe around in her bed. Her body had become a prison. Her mind, unable to control its function, thought of the past; of the happier times practicing medicine. Curing the incurable, playing detective and doing whatever the case needed; the puzzle must be solved. But there was no puzzle for Huntington's chorea. It was a boring diagnosis. One without any tropical worms to blame, or slow acting poisons. It was simply her nerves breaking down. It had made her a prisoner in her own body. She spasmed wildly, kicking blankets to the floor and slamming her head backwards into her pillow. The best was behind her. No more doctoring or self destructive behavior; she was ready to die. Dr. Remy Hadley had ceased to be long ago. As the most current bout of chorea began to subside, she noticed a figure across the room in the pale moonlight. A figure with an uneasy gait; one helped along by a cane, hobbled toward her. It could only be one person; one who'd made the most serious and genuine promise he ever could to her. Her angel of death had arrived. She watched as the syringe slid into her IV and as he pressed the plunger down. A look upward showed only care and concern as his blue eyes glinted in the light of the full moon. 'Thank you' she mouthed, as her eyes grew tired and listless. He nodded. His eyes darted away, and then went back to her. "Goodbye, Thirteen," he said. As her eyes drew in the last few photons of light they ever would, she could see him limping away, out the door.

Discussion Four reunion episodes is all I ask. Spoiler

Dean of Medicine Dr. Eric Foreman, out of options on a mysterious and rapidly worsening medical case, tracks down Dr. Gregory House, who has spent years living in hiding after faking his death. House reluctantly returns when he discovers the patient is Stacy Warner, his former partner.

Now older and still dependent on Vicodin, House is haunted by hallucinations of his late best friend, Dr. James Wilson, who has become a constant part of his conscience. At times, Wilson is joined by Amber Volakis, with the two representing different sides of House's fractured mind as he struggles to solve the case.

Realizing he can't do it alone, House reunites with his old team for one final diagnostic mystery. Over four episodes, the team races to save Stacy's life while House battles his own deteriorating mental state, forcing him to confront grief, addiction, and the ghosts of his past.

Question Do you have a plot spanning across multiple episodes that you particularly Spoiler

Do you have a plot spanning across multiple episodes that you particularly like?

There are multiple plots in the series, it's one of the reasons why HouseMd is soo cool. Some plots are only in one episode, but some span longer: like the tritter scenes, vogler, chase+cameron, houses' recovery, prison, etc. Are there some you could watch on its own, even if it wasn't part of the series?
