Guinness giveaway for tapping without Nitrogen

Hi all, I am currently in Ireland and had a Guinness at the hotel I am at. But something tasted off. Is there any giveaway to check whether the pub/bar taps the beer with 3/4th nitrogen?

Gas levels will affect the appearance and mouth feel. More likely an old keg or the lines haven’t been cleaned.

I’ve had this a couple times at Irish hotels when they’ve poured from a tap only used on weekends at things like weddings and events.

Hi thanks for your reply! I went to the pub next door and tastes significant difference. It was more 'aromatic' and 'creamy'. I suppose what you describe as mouth feel. Also it tasted less carbonated...

The hotel I am staying at didn't seem they had a lot of throughput with Guinness, so I suppose old keg and/or dirty lines seem to be valid!
