Koitar⭐️ Koitar as an Archangel

I don’t necessarily think this is right, but I’ve been thinking about it and figured I’d see what others think

In Nicole’s About Zibai line, she mentions an Archangel that most have assumed to be Istaroth. Assuming that is accurate, it makes sense to assume that the Shades are being referred to as Archangels.

This made me wonder about Koitar, who has references to Lucifer/Satan in her character. Lucifer is sometimes thought to be a fallen Archangel, which made me think more about whether Koitar could have been one, too.

We know that she is special as far as angels go, being described as the first angel, closest to Phanes, etc

We also know that we have four Shades- Space, Time, Space and Void. But we have five Celestial Authorities, including Reason. It has been assumed that Phanes holds the power of Reason- but what if they don’t?

What if Koitar was the Shade of Reason. She was found beneath Irminsul, after all. That would certainly be a fitting place for a Shade of Reason.

Perhaps Phanes reclaimed the Authority of Reason after her betrayal and created Rukkhadevata as the Avatar of Irminsul to replace her.

This is all pure speculation. But I’d be interested in hearing if anyone can poke holes in this idea, or alternatively if anyone has any supporting points!

Koitar⭐️ [Luna IV] Koitar will return and it will be Mondstadt/ Varka's problem

No spoilers for the Archon Quest, but I will spoil the quest World Quest "Echoes of a Forsaken Song" as well as a hidden quest/ Easter Egg in Wavechaser Plain region. I think the first quest's ending is pretty mindblowing personally so... you've been warned!

Echoes is about a bunch of Seelies who guide you through reassembling a bunch of metal(?) pipes, which eventually generates a broken building within. You go inside and find a mural of a woman playing music in front of a wolf.

In other words, this is the very building the wolf from Drunkard's Tale met the lonely seelie. Furthermore, reading the parchment before the mural tells that encounter from the seelie's perspective. She had amnesia and played for herself when a pack of wolves walked into her home. They stuck around and she became a sort of tsundere caretaker for them: she called the main wolf "stupid" but they were her only audience so why not keep playing?

Eventually the main wolf developed sentience and learned to speak and she named it Boreas. In time, he left to help a land in the South where the poor suffered (i.e. Mondstadt). Now, this is the only region in the game to introduce a new wolf type enemy and there's an easter egg in some parts where you can follow ghostly wolves along to a mountaintop with a broken sword, which generates a ghostly version of Boreas himself. If someone knows how to trigger the next part of this easter egg, please let me know!

Anyway, beyond the mural, there's a readable in the corner of the room - a diary of the Seelie's before meeting Boreas where she bemoans that she's trapped in the building and has no memories of anything, yet always feels sad and especially horrible when the mindless Seelies float around her, though she doesn't know why.

Now on top of the building is a third readable set after Boreas left. Here we see his presence helped her regain her memories. First she calls out her creator for betraying her, then she mourns how she was forcibly separated from her lover - the person who taught her true freedom and she likens to the morning star - and how she wants to meet them again.

In other words, this Seelie is Koitar. The book has her say "The last singers, the first Seelie, they played their final tune in the halls of angels", but this is flat out her prison. And as I said, thanks to interacting with Boreas she regained her memory and her anger towards the Heavenly Principles.

The interesting thing is this prison is right next to the Favonius camp Varka set up. Combined with the Boreas spirits in the area, I don't think this was a coincidence. With Luna as a whole being Genshin's way of incorporating hidden lore into the main story AND Skirk already looking for Voyager, I think Koitar will return sooner or later. Her "son's spirit" is in Mondstadt and she'd no doubt be interested in how he helped a land of freedom. On the other hand, Varka is a 2 minute jog from her prison and would absolutely act if she came back and tried to start another war. Hey, we know he'll be playable this year and what better choice for a Story Quest boss?

So yeah, another short theory I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on. Thank you all for your time - again! My previous theory was about Voyager's possible role in the main plot but this DOES go into Archon Quest territory so be careful!

Koitar⭐️ Alice is Koitar theory

The theory that Alice is Koitar has been going around for a while afaik but with the new world quests I think there's more to sustain that idea, let me know what you think so here's the few things I noticed:

Spoiler for the Amsvartnir world quest and the Witch's Garden Meeting Point

Koitar & Boreas in Amsvartnir's fresco

After doing the Amsvartnir WQ we learn that Koitar, the first angel spent her days singing, even after loosing all her memories so that removes the possibility of her being Nicole as she is mute. We also learned that by the end she remembers everything, before she allowed Boreas to go to Mondstadt and I think if Alice is Koitar it would make sense that she left her "tower" to look for her friend Boreas and that is why Mondstadt is her home now.

Witch's Statue in Witch's Garden MP that looks like Koitar in the fresco

After finishing the meeting point I realised the statue looks eerily similar to Koitar in Armsvartnir's fresco and after looking at the description of the statue it is indeed of an angel, again I believe it's Koitar.

viewpoint of the meeting point referencing Alice in Wonderland

And the cherry on top was the name of the viewpoint for the Witch's Garden, I know Nicole says it's her house and all but the fact that the name clearly reference's Alice in Wonderland cannot be a coincidence (it does look like the White Rabbit's house but besides that)

She's the only married character we know of, we even see her wedding ring when she introduced herself. It's an emphasis on an important aspect of her character that is beyond her just being "a good mom". Koitar is the wife of the Voyager it's stated multiple times, I really don't think it's a coincidence she's our only known elf/angel like character that is married.

There's also the whole "Eris - Arisu" found in The Byakuyakoku Collection, the Japanese sounding version of her name Alice. Eris the Greek goddess is often associated with chaos, fits Alice and Klee perfectly. She's also known for The Apple of Discord which was a golden apple she threw, matches Alice too with her Golden Apple Archipelago. All of this could indicate that Alice is way older than we think so that could match with her being the first angel.

That would also explain why she can alter the game UI, she's one of the most powerful beings in Teyvat and her being the "final boss" is probably a foreshadowing. Koitar is planning her revenge on the Heavenly Principles, and I really think it is not the bad guy we think it is and that's going to be how we'll have to "fight" Alice...

So that is all my thoughts regarding the recent things we learned in this patch, it would be really cool if this theory is correct and it's revealed to us that Alice is Koitar as she starts singing the same song we hear in Amsvartnir. What do you think?

Koitar⭐️ Koitar as Helel/Luzbel, Voyager as Lucifer/Satan. Book of Adam and Even and Book of Enoch

So basically, at this point we all sort of think of Koitar as someone similar to the fallen angel Helel/Luzbel/Lucifer (all his names).

BUT, Voyager... could also be Satan. Let me explain.

In the apocryphal book of Adam and Even, Satan casted his conciousness from outside the Garden of Eden (which in case, the equivalent is Teyvat).

Satan could not enter by himself the garden because it was guarded 24/7 by Uriel (the archangel) and other angels.

Both Adam and Eve were guarded by these angels at all times. BUT, there was a specific time of adoration to God, so the angels left for that leaving Eve unateded for sometime.

During this time, Satan talked to a snake in the garden (which in this case was not a serpent yet because apparently it had legs, more like a comodo dragon or dragon), then he corrupted the snake and casted his conciousness inside her.

Then he went to Eve and told her about the whole knowledge and the tree, tempting her. We know how the story finishes.

The serpent/dragon that was corrupted as well could has his equivalent in Nibelung.

So Satan corrupted both the serpent and Eve.

Then in the book of Enoch he corrupts the Watchers (other angels) into descending unto Earth, mating with women, having Nephilim (half ange, half human) and corrupting the whole human lineage.

This Watchers not only took wives to themselves but also taught humanity knowledge that was both forbidden and kept for the future. (It is said that the knowledge had to be released little by little so humans could learn at the right time and evolve around it, not tossed at once)

Basically the knowledge of the Watchers had to be discovered by humans BY THEMSELVES during their course of time. It was not good giving advanced techonology, sciences and other stuff at such an early stage of their evolution.

God asked Saint Michael to punish these angels into the Abyss. The Watchers repented but God could not forgive them for all they did. So they were casted down and imprisoned till the end of times when the Son of Man comes and the last Jugdment happens.

Which makes me think... Voyager was playing dirty. He/she could be a satanic figure as well. Not only corrupting Koitar but Nibelung as well. "Casting her conciousness into a youth" = "Satan casting his conciousness/possesing the serpent"

If Genshin is taking that route...maybe there are angelic beings in the abyss.

The HP could be God and the Traveler the Son of Man.

So basically my theory is

Koitar - Helel/Luzbell before the fall

Voyager - Satan/Lucifer

HP - God

the Traveler - the Son of Man that will reset the World at the end of times and create a new one

**I´m catholic so I read A LOT of this stuff. Not only canon scripture but also apocrypha and gnostic.

Koitar⭐️ Outside it is Growing Dark OST Album: Syntyloitsut of Koitar, a mini lore drop for Genshin's Lucifer

So I wasn't expecting this, but the latest Genshin OST Album 'Outside it is Growing Dark' has some titles and lyrics which are lore relevant. The one I'd like to talk about is the battle theme 'Syntyloitsut of Koitar'.

The title translates roughly to 'birth spell of the lady of the dawn', with the Lady of the Dawn, Koitar, being the first angel, morningstar, Genshin's Lucifer, and co-leader of the Second Throne of the Heavens along with the Voyager/Seutervoinen.(whom I have made the case for as Second Descender in previous posts).

As someone who is particularly interested in this corner of the lore, I think this signals a continued focus on their partnership as it relates to the fall of Hyperborea, and potentially as a cautionary tale for the Traveller.

Now, the Chinese title is '苍银的圣咒' which translates to 'The Pale Silver Holy Spell'. Despite the lack of mention of Koitar in the Chinese title, I think regardless both titles refer to the same thing.

The Genshin Wiki provides the following transcript of the lyrics:

Latin Transcript English Translation
Arma virumque cano servantes vitae I sing of arms and the man, oh servants of life.
Nomina nox pressit sed spiritus scandit Our names were oppressed by the night, but by it were our souls ascended.
O lucis genitor nostram tu conspice mortem Oh Father of Light, behold our demise!
Pro patria cara, pro patria mortem obeunt spes gentis et arma For our dear homeland, “Death” shall face the arms and hopes of man!

Now, I think some of these translations need clarification, so here are my interpretations:

'Arma virumque cano' is the opening line of the Aeneid, which is effectively a Roman spinoff of the Iliad. This line translates as written 'I sing of arms and the man', where 'arms' refers to war and conflict, and 'the man' refers to the protagonist, the hero Aeneas. I think if this song is being sung by Koitar to the 'servants of life' (angels) then this is a foretelling of the War of Vengeance, with 'the man' being Seutervoinen/Voyager. (Voyager takes on a feminine aspect upon first arriving in Teyvat, but later takes on a male presentation as Seutervoinen when meeting Koitar)

'Our names were oppressed by the night' This is a very interesting line, because as I understand it, the angels were draconic spirits forced into service by the Primordial One. So it is here equating the Primordial One with 'the night'. I don't know if this is suggesting that the PO has abyssal power, saying they come from space, or just contrasting against Nibelung. This reminds me of the Night Mother, who is also suspected to be an allegory for the PO. 'but by it were our souls ascended.' my interpretation here is that the service of humanity, which is the service the PO put them to, gave the angels meaning and purpose, which they did not have before.

'Oh Father of Light, behold our demise!' The word 'genitor' in the latin transcript means biological father, as opposed to legal father. So this is clearly referring to Nibelung. I believe the demise spoken of is the defeat of the Second Throne of the Heavens by the Primordial One. Perhaps the angels summon Nibelung once hope of victory over the PO is lost.

'For our dear homeland' I think has to refer to Hyperborea, which was a seat of power for Seutervoinen. '"Death" shall face the arms and hopes of man' is another enigmatic line. Death here could refer to the PO through one of her aspects, Ronova, or it could refer to the corruptive force of the abyss introduced by Nibelung after the War of Vengeance. Going with the PO, my interpretation is that the ruin of their faculties has unleashed the power of mortal resentments and ambitions. This is more or less a prophecy that despite the PO's victory against the Second Throne and Nibelung, that mankind will eventually be their undoing. (This is likely a result of the fate-determining power of the eternal moon having been scattered amongst Teyvat, and inherited by its people)

It's also worth noting what happens after the end of this tale. The survivors of the Second Throne, including many angels, flee to the base of Irminsul, founding the nation of Khaenri'ah. So the triumph of man over the gods is very much on their minds at the moment of Khaenri'ah's founding.

(As a side note, how is there no tag for Seutervoinen/Koitar, Hyperborea or the War of Vengeance)

Koitar⭐️ Is Nicole Koitar?: I Don't Know, but Here's Everything I've Got

i am simultaneously thinking that there's just no way that nicole is koitar/the first angel while also struggling to find another identity that fits (aside from maybe a voyangel/seutervoinentar love child?). here's all the evidence, both for and against, starting with the archon quest while it's still fresh in my mind:

  1. This line: "My name is Nicole, and I am one of a very few angels who have retained both their preferred form and their power" contradicts skirk's voiceline about her for some reason: "I wonder if becoming human was an evolution or regression to her? How did it feel, witnessing the self-destruction of her species firsthand? I considered asking her these questions when we first met, but... given her personality, I thought better of it. I think I'll just leave her alone to work on her sculptures."
    • did nicole want to become human? retaining her preferred form does imply that she was already content to be in human form before the seelies were cursed, but the fact that she retains her power as well is a point against any potential koitar-isms.
  2. "The Hyperboreans were humans I once aided. They accepted the civilization and creations bestowed upon them by the angels."
    • this seems to be a point for koitarcole, as the first angel imparts the secrets of creation upon the people of the golden city aka the hyperboreans.
  3. This is so annoying! Gah! I really, really, really want to explain how that whole thing works! Starting from the founding principles of Teyvat, and... Oh, I could talk about this for hours! But...! Deep breaths, Nicole, deep breaths. You're an angel, a sober, sensible, solemn angel who has her priorities straight.
    • similarly to above, i read this as another iteration of nicole imparting potentially forbidden knowledge to the traveler & co. we know that knowing too much about the principles underlying teyvat is not good for long-term health.

the fischl witch's homework quest also gives some interesting details:

  1. And anyway, an angel has always functioned like a sort of... flash of inspiration in someone's head. I'm sure it was like stepping into old shoes.
    • this actually reminds me very much of how ei discovering the puppet technique is described: "This limited time troubled Ei greatly, until one day when a mysterious technique came before her eyes as if by a stroke of fate." and what does this stroke of fate enable ei to do? create wanderer, who is described as a simulanka in the archon quest, and who is created from a branch of irminsul, aka where the first angel resided before the voyager arrived. the technique ei discovers is one for creating life, which is the original sin of the first angel as well. a point for?
  2. Indeed. In a similar vein, "Mr." Nine's stories are full of metaphors, including one for the creation of life. What it describes isn't made-up, per se...
    • similar to above - nicole provides mr. nine with the stories and information, and here she provides the secret to creation of life, which is very much a koitar thing.
  3. It was more like... 70 percent made-up, 30 percent true. No, it was 90 percent made-up, 10 percent true. I thought it was too dangerous, so I changed it. See, I knew you'd never read my books!
    • this is a point against, because it does seem that the principles behind creating life are known to all seelies, as mr. nine/the seelie chooses to edit that information.

sticking with the mr. nine thread, let's backtrack to legend of the shattered halberd and flowers for princess fischl in light of nicole's potential identity:

  1. Her disguise exposed, Weiyang gave up trying to compose herself and spoke in her normal voice. She sounded more charming than one would expect, given the circumstances. "Officer Weiyang is a cultured lady of the court.
    • this does feel very nicole in light of how alice describes helping her learn how to speak in a more ladylike fashion, as varka mentions.
  2. "I was once the daughter of the Celestial Emperor. But I have long forgotten my name. I was in charge of conducting trials and sentencing at the end — a judge, to use your parlance."
    • this is a giant massive koitar hint - weiyang is correlated first to nicole, and then the exiled daughter of the celestial emperor is correlated to koitar - i think either way, the legend of the shattered halberd is essentially a retelling in part of the voyangel story.
  3. For instance, he knew that deities tended to guard their names closely, for knowledge of a deity's true name allows a human being to exercise absolute control over them. So he wasn't convinced this one had simply forgotten her name.
    • as mentioned in both records of jueyun and finale of the deep galleries, forgetting/being stripped of her name is koitar's punishment for falling in love with the voyager and sharing HP-only secrets with him.
  4. I felt that the tragedy that unfolded toward the end of Volume 5 of "Legend of the Shattered Halberd" was due to the male protagonist, and the Celestial Emperor's daughter's attraction to him. As such, I wanted to write a Prinzessin der Vererteilung [sic] who had no need of a male protagonist. This was the scaffold that would come to be "Flowers for Princess Fischl."
    • mr.nine - here most likely just the seelie - draws the parallel between the tragedy of voyangel and weiyang/mir (for simplicity's sake), and provides a secondary story, flowers for princess fischl, where the romance does not happen and the tragedy is averted as a result.

touching on another pair of books, hymns of the far north and records of jueyun:

  1. I call upon Koitar, wife of Seutervoinen and first, fairest daughter of the creator god...
    • this clarifies the connection between the celestial emperor's daughter in LotSH and koitar - the creator god and the celestial emperor are both "fathers" to rebellious daughters.
  2. The seelie and their lover fled into exile as the world collapsed around them, fleeing until the terrible calamity caught up with and seized them. Their cruel punishment was to be separated from each other for eternity and to have their memories wiped without a trace.
    • kind of interesting in light of everything we learn about nicole in the AQ (she still has her memories of hyperborea), which is a point against a potential koitarcole reading.

in light of everything described above, let's return to finale of the deep galleries and azurelight:

  1. And to the one she loved, she poured out the matter of creation, that most forbidden of unspeakable secrets.
    • this is the moment that makes me feel like i have to be on the right track. the interest in creation (khemia?) & the secrets of life have reared its head twice with nicole and it is the primary reason i've been on this track for a hot minute.
  2. Such authority to create was once the lord of the firmament's divine prerogative, yet it was handed to mortals by the rebellious envoy,
    • just hammering home the sharing creation secrets = bad element, which makes the fact that nicole shares it as part of her novel writing/dictating so fucking insane. unless she's done it before....
  3. The traitorous envoy was stripped of both name and form, and from that moment onward, a curse fell upon her kin:
    • this is the most major point against, as nicole clearly states that she retains her preferred form and her power.
  4. And in those star-like pupils, saw a reflection of herself she had never yet known.
    • this is kind of a point against, as the star-shaped pupil is something that nicole possesses. this is like. the only serious hint towards a voyangel love child and it could also just be that nicole's form mirrors her past love if she is indeed koitar. the fact that her eyes look very similar to the crafting table symbol is another point for, as it hearkens back to the secrets of life element, as well as khaenriah and the art of khemia, which does kind of imply that koitar (or someone adjacent...) is the person who provided said secret to ei in her creation of wanderer/the shogun.
  5. "One of us shall wander beneath moonless night, drinking a sea of tears in futility for kin who will not return." "Another shall trudge across gilded sands, never to comprehend scarlet sincerity or ardent admiration." "Still another shall shrink into the dark, into bone-piercing hostility, until the promised tides arise to play out one final melody." "And still another shall wander ever, in dreams solely to journey, awaiting an encounter in a stagnant, foreign land."
    • this is the absolute flimsiest bit of evidence, but i mention it because i have successfully brought people into the koitarcole fold as a result. the azurelight description is from koitar's perspective and it has a line for every single major angel mentioned in the story (in order, yohualtecuhtin, nabu malikata, sybilla, the celadon mare) EXCEPT for nicole, who has been implied to be an angel long before azurelight/skirk's release. the omission feels very much intentional to me, unless nicole is the person narrating the description, of course.

that's pretty much all i got! this is basically incoherent repetitive word vomit, but i wanted to have all my quotes and points in one place and reddit is still the best for long-form writing. i still think it could go either way but i am increasingly convinced that there is Something there between nicole and koitar.

Koitar⭐️ Paimon is Koitar, or at least related to her..... hear me out I may not be crazy

Paimon is Koitar, or at least related to her.... hear me out I may not actually be crazy.

Disclaimer: I’m not too much of a lore nerd, just had a theory and did a dive into lore and may slightly be going insane. And spoilers for Echoes of a Forsaken Song (Amsvartnir world quest)

So the Paimon is a seelie/angel theory is already out there, she floats, calls herself a guide and has aesthetic ties to celestia and the heavenly principles, creator of the angels. I don’t believe that Paimon would be either HP or Asmoday as I know is commonly believed, as I believe the devs wouldn’t tease something with such impact on the lore and story with obvious aesthetic design choices, everything tells me it's a red herring.

Now what caused this theory:

I was doing the world quest related to Koitar, Echoes of a Forsaken Song, and noticed when you play the lyre, Paimon states that she cannot hear the Lyre, thinking it’s broken, meanwhile the traveler hears it. This is the same when Paimon attempts to play the Lyre. Now this could be that it's a case of with the traveller being a descender, there could be some Irminsul-esque shenanigans going on where no one from Teyvat can hear it. HOWEVER: A Drunkard’s Tale Vol.3, in reference to the Royal Court states that others can hear it too: ‘It is said that to this day, adventurers who pass by this place still hear a strange yet harmonious melody sounding from within’.

So why can’t Paimon specifically hear the song??? It's clear Koitar lost her memories due to HP’s punishment, but as far as I know it wasn’t explained exactly how, and I suspect that it could be a case that Koitar was essentially banished from anything from her past, explaining why Paimon may not be able to hear it. It is also mentioned in the artifact Deep Gallery’s Moment of Oblivion also states she lost her name and form, which would explain why she has the new persona of being Paimon.

Another thing to note is that the angels wore crowns that acted as shackles to HP. Ofc, Koitar’s shackle broke upon learning forbidden knowledge, but who’s to say she couldn’t be shackled again? Paimon has a crown on by the way, just saying. If it is a shackle, maybe it's what prevents her from hearing the song so old memories don't come back.

Another theory I had with crowns is the circlet of logos part of the artifact sets. Ofc the first 4 represent the shades, but I’ve heard that the crown is meant to represent HP. But if the other 4 artifacts represent the creations of HP, why wouldn’t the 5th follow suit and be the other creation of HP, the angels. Why do I bring this up here though? Something has been on my mind since the start of Nod Krai, where there was a humorous line where Ineffa rates Paimon’s power as ‘1/5th’. A FIFTH OF WHAT INEFFA??? A FIFTH OF HP’S CREATIONS MAYBE?

But then why would Koitar follow the traveler? Well, it's fitting for the first angel, a race who naturally want to guide humans, to follow probably the most influential human currently on Teyvat, but there’s more to it. In the writings within the royal court, Koitar writes ‘...I will return to my own lands and wait for the star beyond the stars, the one who holds my liberty in thrall.’ The Twins have been represented as stars a lot, so she could be referencing them here, planning to meet them in the future. As to how she would know who they are, I don’t know, but the mural that appears on the end of the quest does have twin stars, likely representing the twins’ arrival. Maybe she knew that she would lose all of what she was and would become the Paimon we know today, and placed her trust in the Traveller, hoping that by traveling alongside them that they could free them from HP.

That or HP just lobotomised and shackled her to spy on the Traveller who knows.

Anyway, this is the result of frantic excitement now at 3am, so probably I have missed some critical detail and possibly this whole thing is absolutely flawed and I have wasted 2hrs of madness. Please comment any counter arguments, or even better if there’s more supporting evidence! Either way, I think I do firmly believe that Paimon is related to the angels in some way.

Or maybe she is just Asmoday idk.

Koitar⭐️ Koitar/the Voyager’s master plan may be a reference to the second coming of Jesus/Day of Judgement in Christian eschatology, plus what could happen at the climax of the Teyvat chapter

Based on the description of the Artifact Set “Finale of the Deep Galleries”, the book “Hymns of the Far North” and the point of interest “Sanctum of the Oathbearer”, we can conclude that the First Angel Koitar’s master plan involved “using countless Fae Spirits to create a perfect being that could merge the world”, and the end result would have been humans and Gods residing in Heaven together, seemingly elevating humans to the level of Gods and never suffering from death once again. After realizing what Koitar planned to do, the Heavenly Principles got angry and destroyed Hyperborea, cursing Koitar and all the other angels into mindless Seeles in the process.

The second coming of Jesus is the belief in Christianity and Islamic eschatology that Jesus will return to Earth to establish God's kingdom, where the heavenly realm and earthly realm merge into a perfect, unified state. In this new creation, there will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain, as the old order of things will have passed away.
This event signifies the ultimate fulfillment of God's redemptive plan, restoring creation to its original perfection, similar to the Garden of Eden.

Notice how both Koitar’s plan and the second coming of Jesus involve the “merging” of the world to create a new perfect realm free of death and suffering?

Eschatology is the study of "the last things"—the final events in history and the ultimate destiny of humanity, including death, judgment, the resurrection. Precisely because it’s the “last things”, and Koitar’s plan is a direct reference to Christian eschatology, I believe something similar to what she wanted will happen at the climax of Teyvat Chapter, towards the end of the Traveler’s journey in Teyvat.

The signs of a “new world” are already here by the Luna I Archon Quest: during Act I, Lauma carries the weight of the knowledge of the false sky, and by the end she decides to reveal the truth to her people, even if it risks tearing the community apart, because the Frostmoon Scions built their lives on faith in a Fake Moon. What makes Lauma’s decision so important is that this is the first time “normal civilians” find out about the fake sky; Lauma risks everything to reveal the truth because for her, it’s about breaking the cycle and tearing down blind devotion to a false image so her people can finally step into a future where they don’t have to depend on a power beyond themselves. This isn’t about super powerful beings gaining enough power to destroy Celestia, it’s about the “average Joe” in Teyvat coming to the realization that they live in a world full of lies of deception. I think Lauma’s decision is very important because it shows a “not-Fatui way” to go against Celestia, and I think this is the road Traveler will ultimately chose.

Traveler’s behaviour has been commented on multiple times: he treats Gods and mortals the same way, with the same amount of dignity. And this is exactly what Koitar and the Voyager wanted: for Gods and humans to be equal, to reside in Heaven togheter.

In conclusion, because Koitar’s plan is a direct reference to Christian eschatology, a reference to the “end times“, and because of all the signs in Luna I are pointing towards that way, I think by the end of the Teyvat Chapter, the post-Celestia world will be one where Gods and humans live equally in some sort of Heaven on Earth.
