I linked to the timestamp of Enya mentioned in that clip on the post earlier 😊 definitely nice knowing, though I wonder if she is into any more from Shepherd Moons, or Enya's music in general.
In addition to Caribbean Blue, I'd associate Ebudae, perhaps China Roses, Cursum Perficio, Even In The Shadows and Trains and Winter Rains with the sort of song styles Billie would do. 🎡

Their careers aren't exactly as comparable at the same age (Enya in 1985 or so) but the involvement with film names sort of is (Billie's concert collaboration with director James Cameron). His offer with Enya for Titanic in 1997 seemed a bit underwhelming though, haha. πŸ˜…
Enya was involved with The Frog Prince through former film producer David Puttnam, and then had the offer to compose for BBC documentary The Celts.
Both busy and strong-willed Celts! πŸ˜ƒπŸ’—πŸŽΆ

Enya was asked to compose the Titanic soundtrack, but she said in an interview that β€˜some directors are difficult to work with’. James Cameron has a reputation for being such a director and he likely would have tried to interfere a lot. Enya (Nicky and Roma) famously always had full autonomy over their music. It would have been a disaster.

I do love how many tracks on the OST obviously emulated Enya’s style and I actually bought and enjoyed the album. Also a treat that Enya’s sister, Moya (RIP πŸ₯Ί) contributed a track in the sequel album, β€˜Return to Titanic’. I enjoyed that album too.

Ah I didn't know that Moya's song was officially part of the sequel album 🀍 was her song 'Come Josephine, In My Flying Machine'?
I also have a CD of the OST; I love Sissel's vocals as well as My Heart Will Go On by CΓ©line of course. πŸ’—
That's true about Enya's autonomy over the music, it rightfully remains as theirs (the trio's) wonderful work. πŸ˜ŒπŸŽΆπŸ’›

Yes re: β€˜Come Josephine…’. It what Rose sings to herself when she’s floating on the wooden door in the freezing Atlantic while looking at the sky. Perfectly haunting.

And I agree, Sissel did a wonderful job. I just hope she wasn’t under such pressure under James Cameron’s reputation

Hopefully she'll discover Enya's lesser known songs as well
