Town centre parking

Hi, I'm looking at an apartment near the town centre. It's grand but the only problem is the building doesn't have parking. I've read that I can apply for residential parking permit so I can park on the street but it seems to be the busiest street in town and I always see the street packed all-day every day of the week.

My question is how does the parking permit work, is that easy to get and what if there's no available space near my place? And anyone know of any alternatives, like private car park spaces for rent? Thanks for the help

You'll get access to park on two adjoining streets. Might need to drive around once or twice if it's really busy but you'll find something.

I was on Park street and had Anne street to park on too. You get to choose if there's another street the other side. If it is park street, watch your wing mirrors.. Maybe park away from the pubs in weekends.
