Help me understand!
New to this case and feel like I must be missing a lot of info. How is it possible this Allen guy never committed any other crimes? No history of anything? Nothing violent, not even a bar fight or something? And just escalated to double murder? And then never did it again? This is truly mind blowing to me. I’m sure this guy did it but it’s just so shocking this guy went from zero to double homicide.
And what is the suspected motive? He just always wanted to do it and finally had the opportunity? He snapped?
I’m so very confused.

I think it was because he never set out to kill. I think this was intended to be a sexual assault that escalated into murder. Current societal rhetoric tells us that any who commits murder must have a long history of crime, past incidents of violence, harming animals, etc. and while that can be a sign of psychopathy, it is not true for every murderer. While no evidence of sexual assault was noted on the girls (aka no bruising or bodily fluids), the fact that both of these little girls were naked in front of this man absolutely indicates a sexually motivated crime. I believe he was intoxicated, then panicked because he knew his life would be over if word got out that he attempted to SA two little girls. Allan was a deeply insecure man that knew his wife and family would be horrified if the girls told what he had done. A murdered child cannot tell on their perp and he probably thought he would get away with it. Had he not been recorded on the girls phone he likely would have.
