Man, vanilla cultists are the worst.

Seriously? Someone finally makes a cool, modern Cold War gone hot FPS and you guys turn it into just another tactical Barbie simulator.

Arma would have barely any players without mods, its the main reason why people are playing the game.

Then maybe it’d be better off without them if they dont pass the vibe check.

What have mods to do with "the vibe check"?

Do you want to play a milsim game or tactical Barbie? I can count on one hand the number of modded servers that don’t devolve into people standing in spawn for 3 hours getting their loadouts just right to operator larp, not coordinating with their team at all while they look like something out of a Call of Duty game

What business is it to you what others want to play? Why does any of it bother you so much?

It’s no business of mine, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have and share an opinion on it. If it was as insignificant as you’re saying though, you wouldn’t have bothered to reply.

Yeah, I like to point out when people needlessly shit on stuff other people enjoy.

And I like to express dissatisfaction at people turning something unique into something blasé and boring. Guess we’re at an impasse

I've played since launch and the game has been hugely popular before we even had anything more than clothing mods

Nah, looking at steam charts, the game had less than a 1000 players most of its lifetime it only has recently reached over 20k players.

The big boom in steam charts was when it launched to PS5 and a few months later a major update. PS5 players were without mods for a few months yet as far as I've been able to see possibly outnumbered both PC and Xbox players, obviously they don't show on steam charts tho

Hugely popular was a stretch I think but reforger was also dealing with technical problems and a lack of updates for a very long time

And who forces you to play that? Go on, enjoy vanilla. What's with the constant urge to shit on things others enjoy? Downvote all you want, the purists in this sub are truly miserable people. Who defines their superiority whether or not they use mods in some niche milsim game? Touch grass.

It’s not a matter of superiority or forcing anyone to do anything. I’m just expressing disappointment at people seeing something unique and deciding they want to turn the game into something it isn’t.

Never understand why players who like modded servers are so sensitive and defensive.

Like what you like. No need to get upset about what other people enjoy.

Actually its the other around, vanilla players constantly make memes about how much better vanilla is.

Im sure they’ll stop doing it when it stops being true

I’d argue the call of duty console kiddies are the worst. Literally the downfall of Arma
