Usually based on server latency or just plain bad luck. Might also be because of the WW1 weapon mod the game is having a hard time registering correct bullet damage values

An Arma moment would be shooting them in the head the game deciding it won’t register it

I put half a mag into a proned guy at point blank and Arma said nah, you didn't shoot him. He then stood up and we talked for awhile then let eachother live and went our own paths

It doesn’t register actual hits but it will absolutely register a miss as a lethal hit.

I’ll still never understand this no matter who explains it or how lol both people will see a bullet hit themselves or the other, but it does nothing to either. It’s like getting a hit marker on COD but no damage is being outputted with the hit marker. (HORRIBLE comparison, I just work here)

I don’t understand how people can sit and swear there’s no hit reg issues in Arma, despite thousands of clips popping up every single day proving otherwise.

There’s also those that blame modded weapons. I seem to have a bit better of a time with modded weapons. You run into issues with poorly put together ones but typically the most commonly used mods have good performance.
The biggest issue I think is the servers themselves and the poorly put together net code.
I play DayZ and Arma religiously. DayZ has slightly better hit reg, and ok performance at the cost of horrendous de sync and white walling. Arma on the other hand is the exact opposite: No white walling and better performance at the cost of horrendous hit reg randomly and servers that run 3x worse than CoD on a good day

It's funny cus it really is just arma. It will take several years each time before they flash it out but only after they move on to the next game. I been playing a lot of arma 3 lately and the hit reg is a TON better. There's the few times where I shoot someone 20 times with a nivid or lynx (if u know I know) and they don't die till 20 mins later. However that's not hit reg that's just the specific server struggling to keep up. Reforger will probably do the same and fix hit reg issues. It won't be till arma 4 is out and been out for 4 years+ and the discussion of arma 5 is being tossed around lol

Arma does everything well except Movement & Shooting. And the Network layer is one of the worst.

Ive sprayed guys moving across my screen 10 ft away, the bullets dont hit unless im leading by like 3 gun widths

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn’t actually fire.

Nah an Arma moment is when you are flying with you're buddies and then the pilot gets shot only for his co-pilot to not know how to fly so while you are crashing and about to meet a cruel end everyone is talking over each other freaking out saying the same thing in 5 different tones and emotions. But yet the Co-pilot still.. does not have an idea of what to press somehow.
Then you crash and meet each other at the MOB and just get in the next vehicle without mentioning a FUCKING thing about what just happened.

Ok wtf, I got this game release night and as an avid Day Z player I was hyped for a long time. But playing for many many hours I just couldn’t hack the lack of bullet connection. I have videos of straight spraying fools down and nothing. Thought it was fixed. Wack.
