Advice Wanted Was it easy to get pregnant again?

Had an “oopsie” on Saturday with hubby! We have a 8 month old, and I’m breastfeeding still. Got my period back 3 months PP. I guess I checked my Flo app, and confirmed with my symptoms, but I definitely ovulated two or three days after this “oopsie”.
When you got pregnant a 2nd time, was it a one time & done situation or did it take multiple cycles?

Edit:

I’m internally screaming right now, and will be updating in 2 weeks lol

Your description is exactly how I ended up with 2under2, buckle up, it’s gonna be a wild ride

10

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

Yikes 🥲 Now it’s the waiting period till I can test!

5

u/Pothperhaps 7d ago

They sell super sensitive tests on amazon and also blood tests can pick it up sooner. Just word to the wise. Thats how i found out cause i am not patient. At. All. Lol

u/Autumn2110 7d ago

Sameee got 5 month and 20 month old girls now 😅

1

u/Raspberrylemonade188 7d ago

Same age gap as my girls! Lol

4

u/MichaelMaugerEsq 7d ago

Yuuuuup. 15 month gap bc someone forgot to pick up their birth control and didn’t tell me. lol

59

u/scandichic 7d ago

It took me 15 months, 10 cycles, fertility tests, constant tracking, timed sex and the whole works to get pregnant with baby #1.

Currently pregnant with baby #2 after the first attempt 🥴

8

u/scalydragon2 7d ago

This was us too! About 10ish months, doctors visits, tracking and scheduled sex.

We talked about starting to try for number 2. First attempt and No. 2 due in four weeks.

2

u/Shomer_Effin_Shabbas 7d ago

I wish it had only taken me 10 months! That’s still within normal limits if you’re under 35. I was 32. Took us a little over two years and IVF to have our babies. They’re embryo transfers 1 and 2.

2

u/Conscious-Goal-2078 7d ago

Same for us!! I also had a miscarriage before my first. My husband side eyed me when I told him I wanted to wait to start trying again until we were absolutely ready in case it happened first try… and I was correct lol

2

u/zerepoj 7d ago

Same omg It took me over a year, fertility tests, and 4 rounds of letrozole to have my first and my second I got first try right after my first period 3 mos post partum 😩

2

u/zero_and_dug 7d ago

I swear it’s like our bodies get primed after the first one sometimes.

2

u/buttercup_678 5d ago

1st baby was 2007- condom and birth control. I was only 20 when she was born. Met an amazing guy 5 years ago, got married. Then 2nd baby was April 2025- had 3 losses prior. Lost count of letrozole cycles. HSG, SIS, menopur injections and progesterone to get to April 2025 baby. Then decided we’d be ok trying without meds until I hit 40. Yeah…ended up pregnant on the first try- due in 10 weeks. So I have an 18 year old, 13 month old and one due in 10 weeks.

30

u/Dense-Radio-9332 7d ago

Literally had sex once and fell pregnant 8 months pp. We'd had years of infertility before baby #1 too, so was a massive shock.

3

u/HopeHonest6554 7d ago

Same! I can’t believe this is common!

20

u/emiliemiller94 7d ago

One and done. Husband was home from his deployment for 4 days and littlest wanted to be a member of our party 😂

14

u/Skid_kennels 7d ago

Yeah it took one try for us the second time lol

13

u/little-germs 7d ago

My second born is a pull out "method" baby.

10

u/zerepoj 7d ago

I saw somewhere once where someone said “you know what they call people who pull out? Parents” 😂😂

3

u/Opening_Character175 5d ago

Hey now! That method worked for us for years! Our first was planned after years of just pulling out, after our daughter was born, we thought we would be “safer” and use “protection”, 2 types of protection mind you. Guess who got pregnant at 8 months post partum?

Accidentally cooking 3u3 and he didn't even go off inside. Not sure how I ended up pregnant 🤣🫣

2

u/pi_inthepan 6d ago

😳😳😳 So terrifying lol

12

u/curlycattails 7d ago

You’re gonna get a lot of skewed answers in this sub because like, why else would we be here? 😅

We tried for 2 under 2 with our second, but it took 6 months to conceive again. Ended up with a 26 month age gap.

The next time around we said we’ll “see what happens” and got pregnant on my third cycle postpartum. I was due for a 23 month age gap, but ended up with a 20 month age gap (preemie).

1

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

lol I get it! I think it’s the best sub to ask! I asked in baby bumps and had a lot of negative feedback, saying it’ll basically ruin my life 😂

At least here I can see how easy it is to conceive PP!

10

u/Key_Fan986 7d ago

My first was an oopsie and my second took 5 months . I’m fully aware I’m probably an outlier here 🫠

2

u/silly-goose1299 7d ago

I’m an outlier with you lol

11

u/Ok-Two8541 7d ago

Omg, me sitting here thinking that I'm "just 3 days late, nbd" and with 11 months at home sweating

3

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

Girl keep me updated 😂

2

u/Ok-Two8541 4d ago

Girl! I'm not pregnant! I was 5 days late!

2

u/Huskyshepardgirl 4d ago

Well congrats! or sending lots of future luck!!! I’m so sorry, I’m not sure what you’re goal is, hun 🥲❤️

u/Alert_Ad_5750 7d ago

We tried for our first and I got pregnant first try, had a boy.

I got pregnant again when my son was a 10 week old newborn and me and my partner had JUST done the deed again.😄Had my daughter when my son was 11mo baby.

They’re turning 2 and 3 soon and will be the same age for a few weeks!

Best years of my life.

4

u/snapdive_ 7d ago

That’s awesome. We have a 7 month old boy and my wife is 16 weeks pregnant now with a girl so the gap won’t be larger than 54 weeks. We’re not sure what to expect but we’re super happy that they will be that close

3

u/silly-goose1299 7d ago

We have a 55 week age gap, it is truly so much fun. I’m not going to lie the beginning was a huge learning curve, but we are 8 months in and life is seriously so much fun with them

2

u/snapdive_ 7d ago

What were the biggest changes you had to make?

→ More replies (4)

8

u/MotorDescription5795 7d ago

Absolutely, 6 months pp. I was exclusively breastfeeding. We did it once and now I have a 4 month old and a 19 month old. 🤣🤣😅

3

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

Part of me is SO excited about possibly having another baby, but so scared at the same time 😂😂

4

u/MotorDescription5795 7d ago

Honestly, I love it. It’s hard but they are starting to interact with each other. I love it so much!!!!

4

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

I was an only child! My hubby has 3 other siblings. So it’s definitely on our list to have more :)

2

u/Ke-turtle98 6d ago

Me 8 months pp. Exclusively breastfeeding. 1 time in that window and now I have a 3 month old and 20 month old 🤣😂

5

u/ClicketySnap 7d ago

Had one period, laughed to partner that we’d be not-trying-not-preventing, tested positive before my next period arrived lol

Third baby we were way less involved with the not-trying-not-preventing cuz we couldn’t decide if we wanted a third or not, but I tested positive after about 5 months of ntnp. Miscarried, and immediately fell pregnant again with no cycle in between.

5

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

Uh oh. Seems like this is a popular answer so far, now it’s the two week wait of seeing if this will be another crappy summer 😂

3

u/okcrow__ 7d ago

Too easy🫠 got pregnant ~3 months pp. Still don’t 100% know how/when it happened but I thought it was a myth that you could get pregnant easier the second time. The way my OB described it is basically that your cervix is still more “open” for a while after you deliver. I was mortified at how much sense it made😂

2

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

That makes so much sense wow lol

3

u/Competitive_Lime_339 7d ago

Got pregnant first try at 12 months postpartum! First child took 3 or 4 tries to conceive

3

u/4freedom7 7d ago

One and done and I was also 8 month pp breastfeeding!

3

u/akhiluvr 7d ago

One and done here too.

3

u/Tinkergamer92 7d ago

Took us IVF to have our first child after 1.5 years of trying and no success on our own. One oopsie when I was 7.5 months pp and still breastfeeding and now we have a daughter 🤣 it’s wild what your body does sometimes but just test when the time comes and see what happens. Either way it will all work out

3

u/thepointedarrow 7d ago

Took one “try” each time. I will mother nations.

1

u/Opening_Character175 5d ago

My husband jokes that we are building an army 😅

6

u/Potential-Scholar359 7d ago

If you had unprotected sex 2-3 days before u ovulated, that's the prime time to get pregnant. Good luck!

2

u/Zestyclose_Offer_402 7d ago

First try at 9m PP lol!

2

u/bynnyeah 7d ago

First month trying, at 7 m pp while nursing!

2

u/kattehemel 7d ago

My oopsie is 4 months old now.

2

u/daisy4396 7d ago

First took 6 months of ttc like temping and timing the whole nine yards. Second baby got pregnant the first cycle of ttc. I was in denial until like halfway through my pregnancy lol

2

u/EstablishmentFlat135 7d ago

This happened to me and I got pregnant 5/6 months postpartum. I was also breastfeeding. I now have a 7 week old and a 15 month old.

2

u/arentwontorwill 7d ago

Just for some maybe good news haha - it took us 3 tries for our second (4 tries for our first). I was also breastfeeding and ended up conceiving 9m postpartum. I think statistically you have a 30% chance of conceiving on a perfectly times cycle so it could go either way!

2

u/Fantastic_Force_8970 7d ago

Got pregnant on the first try with second and third kid… was okay if it happened just didn’t think it would the first time and it did twice lol. If you are pregnant, you’ll be just fine though

2

u/WisdomFromWine 7d ago

I had 1 period between baby 1 and conceiving baby 2. They are 15 months apart. We were not trying. Just miss calculated ovulation by a week

2

u/EvenHuckleberry4331 7d ago

Dangerously easy. I was only 10 weeks postpartum and had had my period once but didn't expect it to be regular enough right away that I had to track ovulation… I sure did get pregnant.

2

u/Careful-Orchid-2641 7d ago

Both first try 😬

2

u/fl4methrow3r 7d ago

First kid: 6 months of timed ovulation sex, etc

Second kid: We went on vacation, I had my period, we had sex ONE TIME the day after it ended, and that was it.

Even the doctor said I was allowed to be surprised that this happened, considering the timing 😬

Anyway, here we are and luckily baby is super cute

It can turn out ok!

2

u/Western_Clock_259 7d ago

I have an 8 month old, breastfeeding, and am currently 7 weeks pregnant with baby #2. Happened without trying but absolutely grateful for the chaos to come!!

2

u/log7777 7d ago

One and done for me! It was a bit too easy haha. 3 months pp 🥲 Kids are 11 months and 24 days apart but i wouldn’t trade it for the world.

2

u/Prestigious_Exam4624 7d ago

It definitely has depended but honestly. Congratulations!!! You have a VERY high chance of conceiving because of this.

2

u/throwawy612 7d ago

I had an incredibly difficult time getting pregnant with my first, and I got pregnant at 7m pp with my second while I was breastfeeding 🫠 I had thought it was a safe day but apparently not lol My girls are 16months apart and are SO close, she’s the seriously the best “oops” ever

2

u/rookie32ffee 7d ago

Ooooh we got trapped by the 8 month cutiepie and was 2 under 2.

2

u/kittywyeth 7d ago

i get pregnant if my husband looks at me for too long. i’m on my sixth baby!

1

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

Accurate 😂

2

u/Kimmy_95 6d ago

I hadn’t gotten my cycle back after my first. They are 6 days shy of being 14 months apart. They are now 8 and 9 (about to be 10). 2u2 is a wild ride but a good one

2

u/AMoMmy22 6d ago

Nah 1 month then we fell pregnant after trying

2

u/hairynugg3ts 6d ago

I never got my period back and we didnt even do it properly and i still got knocked up 😂😂 got an 8 month old and im 4 months pregnant

2

u/winterberryowl 6d ago

I was a week away from ovulating. Literally didnt get my usually symptoms for ovulation until 5-7 days later. He turns 2 soon.

I was only 4 months PP 🙃

2

u/Calm_Bookkeeper2909 6d ago

Did it once 8 months pp + breastfeeding on a “safe” day 😭 now due in 2 weeks

2

u/Maleficent-Recipe943 6d ago

Once was all it took second time round - took ten years for the first. AND my app said I was nowhere near ovulating with second one. 🤣

2

u/Sad-Construction6967 6d ago

Took us 16 months to concieve our son. When my son was approaching a year old, we thought we should start trying because it may take us a while again and we may have to seek out some fertility help.

One time. Due in July

2

u/Revelations4202001 6d ago

First try the second time, also at 8 months pp

2

u/Ke-turtle98 6d ago

It’s just happens to be the 1 year anniversary of when my son was conceived (well basically midnight tonight anyway) and I was 8 months postpartum and breastfeeding.

We weren’t trying exactly but I’d been tracking my cycle and had been doing ovulation strips for a few weeks as I’d not had a period in about 7 weeks. Slacked off that week. Just so happened to be our wedding anniversary and so we went ‘eh, what are the chances?’ Because my cycle wasn’t regular anyway and who even knew when it would come back? Did an ovulation test the next day. Blazing positive. Peak ovulation. Positive pregnancy test 8 days later 😂

Good luck! If this oopsie eventuates to anything, I’m 3 months into my 17 month gap and loving it. Sure there are challenges but there is also so much joy. We’re planning to be open to another short gap because we love it so much. Sure we’re tired but a lot of that would be better if we leaned more into getting out first into a good independent sleep routine before her brother was born.

2

u/JuniorCash8046 6d ago

My baby is about 8 months old and I’m 11 weeks pregnant ooops

2

u/idk__elephants__ 6d ago

Also one and done for us 🤣

2

u/Rahsearch 6d ago

I got pregnant with my second while using the pullout method... we did this successfully for over five years before we had our first.

2

u/panda_girl93 6d ago

One and done for all 3 of my pregnancies. 😬

2

u/cheapcorn 6d ago

One mistake! Now I have a one and two year old!

2

u/Repulsive-Tea-9641 6d ago

With my second baby I knew as soon as we had done it that it was naughty. My first would have been 5 months at the time. Took the morning after pill the next day but surprise surprise I was pregnant. Didn’t take any effort at all.

2

u/psukhe_delos 6d ago

One and done.... now having spontaneous twins the second time around. Good luck.

2

u/cudismom 6d ago

You just described exactly how I got pregnant with my second 😅

2

u/jennerrrr 6d ago

22 month old and 5 month old… can we please have an update on this in like… ten to fourteen days?

2

u/Huskyshepardgirl 6d ago

I’ll be updating as soon as a I know, trust me 😅

1

u/Aggravating_Ad_2324 7d ago

Wildly easy… my baby was 7 months old, and I am EP. We were even TMI “pulling out” (not an effective form of birth control I know). Currently 10 weeks pregnant.

1

u/Prettysmokinn 7d ago

Definitely took a lot less time for us on our second. Maybe 3 months of it is what it is and boom pregnant and found out on my birthday 😆 I actually wasn’t tracking the month I got pregnant and was a few days late and planning on a wine tour for said birthday. Well let’s say we had a change of plans the next day 😅 now 34 weeks pregnant 🤰🏼

1

u/FruityPebl8 7d ago

Both of my pregnancies were a one try deal haha. 16 months between births

1

u/TopAd7154 7d ago edited 7d ago

Got pregnant 6 months pp. We literally decided we'd like a second "close in age" then it happened pretty much instantly.  We're done now.

1

u/dingo_pup 7d ago

Our first was an IVF baby so we started trying early for our second - only 3 months for the second! We thought it would be another couple years/IVF again.

1

u/straawbunnii 7d ago

Got pregnant with my first by accident and got pregnant with my second by accident lol. Turns out, you CAN get pregnant by precum 9 months pp and breastfeeding

2

u/Huskyshepardgirl 7d ago

Oh damn, it was more than PreC for us 😂

1

u/BBB_004 7d ago

It was fs a one and done situation, only had 1 period PP and BAM 3 months PP we found out baby #2 was brewing, it was definitely not intentional but it happened and now we have 2 little guys 11.5 months apart. A New Years 2024 baby & and Christmas 2024 baby and let me tell ya, it’s been exhausting but it’s also been so fun and I wouldn’t change how it all happened or the timing of it no matter how stressful it all is

1

u/Orion-Key3996 7d ago

Yes. We did it like twice that month and well…

1

u/ValMonty 7d ago

Took us 3 years to get pregnant with the first. Didn’t think it would be that fast on the second one because of that. Second cycle and boom, pregnant 3.5 months pp 😬

1

u/Deckofbadcards525 7d ago

It was easy for us the second time too!

1

u/WillRunForPopcorn 7d ago

I got pregnant on my first try with #2, then miscarried, then pregnant again on first try again, then miscarried, then pregnant AGAIN on first try lol and I’m 27wk. So it was extremely easy for me to get pregnant after my first. 3/3

1

u/Wooden-Yogurt-159 7d ago

Literally one oopsie.

1

u/boujiewonderland 7d ago

One and done 6m pp while nursing. Baby being nursed was ivf 🤷‍♀️

1

u/PM-ME-PEANUT-BUTTER 7d ago

One and done ✔️

1

u/Best_Of_Us 7d ago

It took several cycles when trying for my first baby. Conceived baby #2 on the first go. 😅

1

u/No-Bug-3638 7d ago

Husband is currently holding our 6week old “Oopsie” while I Watch our 15 Month old daughter play with her light up toy 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

1

u/msstephielyn 7d ago

Been pregnant 5 times, 3 living babies. The first time I got pregnant after a few months and that ended in a blighted ovum when I was 22. Waited until I was 28 with a different partner to start trying again and the second pregnancy took 4 years of trying and multiple rounds of IVF so we figured it wouldn’t happen quickly or easily when we decided to start trying again. My second living child and third pregnancy was a one and done. Fourth time I got pregnant after 4 months without actively trying. Last time was a one and done that ended in a chemical pregnancy. Again not trying it just happened after one unprotected act. I’ve heard for some they have secondary infertility and struggle to get pregnant after having a kid.

1

u/Lucky-Wolf-5000 7d ago

I had a massive oopsie 2nd time around. Boys have a 17 month age gap

1

u/NeatMom 7d ago

One and done oopsie at 7 months postpartum, I can tell you 2 toddlers is harder than 2u2

1

u/GlitteringFix1764 7d ago

My husband and I had our first night out/date night at 3 months PP, had some drinks, did the deed (first time since I gave birth) and I checked the Flo app next day, said I was the day past peak ovulation and high chances of becoming pregnant…ugh, so I easily got pregnant. They turn one and two in July LOL.

1

u/MissCollusion 7d ago

21weeks pregnant. We were having sex away from my ovulation window as we were not quite ready. Got sick like a dog in late December and had half a mucinex bottle that week. I always ovulate around cd 19-20. Guess who ovulated on day 11 unexpectedly?. My kids will be 20 months apart.

1

u/CockroachHot7350 7d ago

This is what happened to us. First cycle back, though. One single time.

1

u/treeconfetti 7d ago

It was too easy. Got my period back 13 months pp, got pregnant unplanned 15 months pp

1

u/Usual_Zucchini 7d ago

Just had our third. Our age gaps are 19 months between first and second, 16 months between second and third.

First try, third try, unofficial first try (we were planning on trying the next month, but since it was close enough we played fast and loose and here we are)

1

u/kct4mc 7d ago

One and done for me when I thought I wasn’t ovulating 🫠.

1

u/WorriedJelly2335 7d ago

Not me sweating while reading this thread lol. My husband and I will be trying to conceive again next month and I’ve been telling myself it’ll probably take a while to get pregnant again🤣

1

u/saltybrina 7d ago

This is exactly how I got pregnant with my 2nd. Except my period had disappeared for a few months which I assumed was from breastfeeding still. Very possible for you to get pregnant with how everything lined up.

1

u/rileyjhut 7d ago

Only took 2 cycles to get pregnant with our first. It took 5 cycles with this one (we were actually trying, tho lol)

1

u/wonlovemar 7d ago edited 7d ago

One and done situation for me, twice 😅 but the first one took almost 2 years…

1

u/Mcp_2002 7d ago

Currently pregnant with my Valentine’s Day “oopsie” plan b baby. Godspeed 🫡

1

u/cherry-pie-honey 7d ago

I was also a one and done 😅 got pregnant 8 months postpartum. BUT who knows that doesn’t mean that will be the case for you!

1

u/999cranberries 7d ago

I wish it was that easy for me. I put in a lot of effort to get pregnant 9 months postpartum.

1

u/purplecaboose 7d ago

Yes. We were planning to start trying after my April cycle but instead got a bullseye at beginning of April. I was breastfeeding, and eldest was 11 months.

1

u/SlightConfection1117 7d ago

One and done!

1

u/ifoughtforyoupodcast 7d ago

Baby #1 was an ivf baby after 2 miscarriages and a year of not getting pregnant after. 3 failed iuis before the ivf. Baby #2 was a surprise and I’m pretty sure it was the first time we did it after I stopped breastfeeding.

1

u/Difficult_Project_89 7d ago

Had my first period after giving birth, then got pregnant before the next one. 😂🫠

1

u/EmotionalPie7 7d ago

One time. And I was actually on birth control.

1

u/oceanandsnow_ 7d ago

First -one and done. Second - 2 years third- 6 months

1

u/MaterialConstant9375 7d ago

I did IVF for my first. Had sex one time, the very first time after baby. Pregnant. 39 weeks tomorrow. 🙃

1

u/Rrenphoenixx 7d ago

One and done both times.

I’m scared to have sex now 😂

1

u/Glittering-Silver402 7d ago

Yup. Tried at 11 months but have a MC then I tried again on the 14th of this month and got my positive a few days ago

1

u/zerepoj 7d ago

I went to the OB to get progesterone because my period hadn’t started and I was 3 mos post partum (had the baby 12/04 and this was in march). Got home that day and realized my period had started …. I found out I was pregnant again four weeks later 😅 my kids are a year and 8 days apart

1

u/queenbcuisine 7d ago

Welcome to 2u2! See you soon

1

u/RecognitionMediocre6 7d ago

We fell, 1st try, at 9 months postpartum.

1

u/mutinybeer 7d ago

Condom broke, wasn't worried about it because my app said my period was due soon, but it did not pay attention to my 13 day period and somehow assumed I ovulated just days after my period ended?? Once I counted the days myself, I realized I should be ovulating right then.

So I took an ovulation, just to put my mind at ease. It was positive. I started testing obsessively 8 days later, got a faint line really close to the point the test was invalid (day 9) and a clear positive on day 11.

1

u/Brave_Alps1364 7d ago

Welcome to 2 under 2! I was the same and was pregnant just a short week later lol

1

u/haberdascherrypie 7d ago

My second pregnancy happened in almost the exact same way except my first baby was 9mo instead of 8mo lol… I’m due this Sunday

1

u/zero_and_dug 7d ago

Got pregnant first try, had a MC, then got pregnant again on the first try again (my kids are 23 months apart).

1

u/LucyThought 6d ago

1st cycle trying 4/5 times. I did lose two pregnancies though.

All planned though

1

u/Monarch_10 6d ago

One and done the second time around! My first took multiple cycles.

1

u/femme_9 6d ago

I had my daughter 2 years ago and have been having a hard time getting pregnant again. I’m 35 so maybe that’s a factor

Not to pile on here but I distinctively remember my midwife telling me that you're the most fertile you'll ever be in the 12 months after having a baby. Of course I didn't believe her until I got pregnant with my second at 9 months PP.

You best believe after having my second I got the implant!! (I got it inserted about 2 hours after having my son in the hospital) 🤣🤣

Nope, we were trying for about 5 months for our 2nd and 3rd kids :) everyone is different and a lot of it is up to chance

First month of trying for #2 (12 months pp) ended up in a chemical. Second month of trying ended up in a chemical as well. Third time was a charm.

Bearing in mind we were diagnosed with unexplained fertility, tried without success for our first for 3 years and had to rely on IVF in the end to conceive... we fell unexpectedly pregnant with #2 on my third cycle back after stopping breastfeeding. Turns out the increased fertility post partum is no joke, even with our history.

Well, I’m proof that fertility can vary a lot between partners (something I did NOT know even existed!). 😅

My ex wasn’t nearly as fertile as my fiancé. With my ex, even while breastfeeding, I only ever got pregnant until around 12–16 months postpartum.

Meanwhile, with my fiancé, I got pregnant at just 7 months postpartum despite exclusively breastfeeding and being on birth control. So clearly my body responds very differently depending on the partner involved.

It honestly shocked me because I was so used to having a much longer gap before fertility returned.

We started trying 6 months postpartum and successfully conceived 12 months postpartum

Second pregnancy was a whoopsie when my oldest was 14 months old. We struggled to get pregnant the first time so wasn't too worried when my hubby slipped up 🤦🏼‍♀️. 2 weeks later tested positive as soon as I peed on the stick and now a mom to 3 under 3 because it was twins 🙃😂 surviving a 2.5 year old and two 7 month olds has been fun lol

u/Suki-27 6d ago

First pregnancy was IVF, 2nd pregnancy was a one and done oopsie at 9months. I never took the drs seriously about contraception after because I was like yeah right look what we just went through to get 1, as if we need to worry about that…. Well egg on my face, Currently deep in the 2under2 gang, it’s a wild ride buckle up! 🙃

Got pregnant two cycles in a row pretty much as soon as we started trying again - after 1.5y of infertility with the first one lol. Good luck!

u/Corvus_in_the_pines 6d ago

SO much easier the second time. 7 m pp and git pregnant again after having sex just once. Welcome to 2 under 2!

u/mareloquent 6d ago

I got pregnant on the first try at 8 months pp.

1

u/Traditional_Year_19 6d ago

Yes. Last period was July 2023 and got pregnant again in Feb 2025. Got pregnant at 10 months postpartum. Probably after doing the deed once unprotected.

u/rocdanithegirl 6d ago

-2 cycles lol. 8 months pp after 2 years of endo influenced infertility. Went off birth control to "get regular" again, had sex 5 days before I ovulated(was tracking) and here we are 4 years later

3 years, 6 rounds of IVF, and 4 embryo transfers to conceived my daughter. Now 6 months spontaneously pregnant with healthy baby brother after having sex once 🙃🤰🏼🫣

No period, exclusively breastfeeding, got pregnant at 7/8 months pp.

u/kittenandkettlebells 6d ago

Was using the pullout method when we got pregnant. We were in a 'if it happens, it happens' mindset and were stoked with the timing. But yea, was still breastfeeding and 13months PP.

u/doxie_12 5d ago

First: 1 month. Second : 6 months and counting (started when first was 6m)

u/Justlearnin3 5d ago

One and done. I had my period for one month—December— and was pregnant in January. I already have 2 under 2. I’m about to have to join the 3 under 3 group. lol

If you are pregnant tho, it will be a whole miracle because for everything to line up is not easy. Consider it meant to be 🩵

u/CrazyCatLady_2 5d ago

- was not easy for me to get pregnant a second time. Neither for the first. But not as hard as some others have to go through. It for sure never was an oopsie situation on my end. Still got 2u2 thanks to medical help. Now I’m in the middle of the hard time with 3ish and 18months ish

u/Opening_Character175 5d ago

We only did it once in that cycle (with 2 types of protection!!!) and I got pregnant. I’m nearly half way through my pregnancy and still reeling. Safe to say my husband isn’t allowed to even look at me for at least 2 years after this one’s born 😅

1

u/LeYuca 5d ago

One and done— My first was 10 months (July 2025) when we were talking about having a 2nd. Since it took us multiple cycles for our 1st, our plan was to start trying fall 2025 to have a 2 or more years gap. I was still breastfeeding, and I only had my period once after my first was born. My husband came back from a trip that same July we started our conversations, I was monitoring my ovulation- so I knew when he came back from the trip, my ovulation had passed 5 days before. We had an “oopsie”… I didn’t care that much because I trusted my ovulation monitor… but I’m right now holding my one month old oopsie. I’m still in disbelief because I was hard to get pregnant the first time… and here we are.

1

u/Salty_Instance_4706 5d ago

Yes I had one “oops” with my husband at 9m postpartum & I was pregnant at 10m PP. my 2nd is due July 10 😬🥲

1

u/Ok_Site4971 5d ago

Pregnant with second on first try, that's how alot of folks end up in this sub!

1

u/missbrittanylin 5d ago

I got pregnant 9 months pp, I was also EBF and got my period exactly 4m pp. my husband and I had a heat of the moment “whoopsie” and I got pregnant from that one time 😅

1

u/Leading_Engine6056 5d ago

it was an "uh oh" when baby#1 was 7 months

1

u/Mediocre_Swimming531 5d ago

First 2 planned. Now this 3rd was our “oopsie” baby. I had just finished breastfeeding 6 months pp, but not completely. Not long enough where I thought I could be ovulating again. Seem as though the same month I stopped BF is the same month I ended up pregnant 😩

1

u/Slow_Opportunity_522 5d ago

Yeah.... Sorry.... One and done for #2 lol can't wait for the update 🤣🤣

2

u/Huskyshepardgirl 5d ago

Same 😂😂 will update around June 10-12

1

u/blOndie61519 5d ago

I have 3 under 3🤣 one and done situation for number 2 and 3. Took us 3 years to conceive our first though!!

1

u/SKVgrowing 5d ago

3 out of 4 pregnancies were 1 cycle and pregnant. 1 of those was literally 1 time without a condom and I’m currently nursing him before bedtime.

1

u/Slight-Combination73 5d ago

one and done situation for me 5 months pp lol husband and i did the deed 2 days after ovulation. currently have 2 under 2

1

u/Excellent_Mastodon33 5d ago

I also got pregnant at 8 months PP after one time. Got my period back just before 3 months PP and my dr told me that means I’m super fertile so best of luck to you!!

1

u/PayMammoth504 4d ago

We just want about 6 weeks without being intimate, had a quickie one day, waited 2 weeks, tested positive. LO will be 6mos next week so we’re looking at about 14 mos age gap. It’s definitely possible lol

1

u/bravotaygrle 4d ago

One and done here as well lol

1

u/Brilliant_Fix9127 3d ago

We tried for my second when my first was 1. It took 2 cycles. They’re 3 and 1.5. I’m 18 weeks pregnant now and this was a complete surprise. I actually have no idea when it could’ve even happened 😂 I feel like we were so (but obviously not) careful lol

1

u/BeginningSeparate933 1d ago

for pregnant at 2 month pp after and oopsie. it is that easy D:

1

u/Relevant-Egg-8347 1d ago

I got pregnant with my second on the first try. Took over a year with my first.

1

u/Throw_Away_Duckie 22h ago

Had a few oopsies and I have to say that I was breastfeeding so I'm not really sure if this applies to everyone but my period didn't come back until I was almost to the one's postpartum so I have a really long time where I wasn't sure if I was ovulating or not.

Once my period came back it was in doozy. It was very inconsistent and very hard to track but I got pregnant again by accident at 12 months postpartum so here we go again

They will be just a slightly 2 under 2
