Advice Wanted newborn keeps having leaks

with most diapers i’ve tried he keeps having leaks from the top when the rest of the diaper is dry. for reference, these are huggies snug and dry, but it’s with multiple different ones that worked for my first son.

for my baby shower i asked solely for rascals because those worked for my first son the best and now i have so many boxes that i cant use because they leak like this.

for reference the only diapers that didnt leak were luvs and parents choice surprisingly. all huggies brand do this and rascals/millie moon

My son is nine months old and I'm having this problem too. Is it a boy thing? I don't know, but I've literally resorted to trying to aim his penis in different directions when I put his diaper on. Just a heads up to anyone who is also an idiot, it doesn't work.

Sizing up helped with pee blowouts but he still has poop blowouts, I'm not joking, maybe 60% of the time that he poops. It's like it shoots like a rocket straight out of the top of his butt crack, it defies physics. Is it boys? My daughter never had these problems.

with my toddler, the poop blowouts were constant. are you using a diaper with an up the back blowout protector?

Yeah, I've tried em all... I think it's probably just a phase we have to hang on through until he increases solids and stops the weird formula poops. But seriously, my first had maybe one or two blowouts ever and we were like 🚨 ALL HANDS ON DECK! And now I'm just used to hanging out with a little round biohazard of a baby lol

Some day it'll be a silly distant memory. Right? lol 😩

do you use a formula that contains prebiotics by chance?? with my first he did and had diarrhea constantly until he was on more solid foods. recently he mistakenly grabbed one of the baby’s bottles and drank some of the same formula and later on had a diarrhea blow out lol

could be this, my sons daycare teacher is the one that told me about the prebiotics lol

He's on Alimentum (like a super hypoallergenic formula) bc he had really bad reflux.... maybe that's it?

my son was on that for a bit and he had super hard poops lol. so i doubt it tbh. we put my son on a goat formula and that’s what had the prebiotics
