Naturism NSFW

Is there anywhere around Worcester that naturists can go for a walk on an evening. It’s a beautiful day and it’s a shame to have to stay clothed. Thanks.

Beryl

I've seen that Beryl are being hauled in front of councillors because they have 'failed to deliver what was promised'.

I find it interesting that they're getting rid of the pedal bikes and some of the bays, as well as scaling back from 175 to 125 bikes.

Where are all these bikes??

A few weeks ago there were about 4 showing on the map because Beryl decided to do some upgrades without actually telling anyone! I'm very glad that I didn't pay for a package of minutes at that time because it would have been a total waste on something so unreliable.

As has been pointed out, the infrastructure isn't in place to provide safe cycle routes around the city.

The fact the they are getting rid of the pedal bikes also makes it more expensive for people, so I'm unsure how that is going to encourage people.

The council are blaming Beryl for the lack of uptake, when they to have a part to play in not providing adequate infrastructure too.

I can't help but think the £600,000 spent on the scene could have been spent better elsewhere.

Is there anywhere to swim outdoors in and near Worcester, wild swim or private pool?

Things to do in city centre and surrounding areas?

I have explored the city quite a lot but would love to know everyone’s favourite places/things to do in Worcester and surrounding areas.

Anything from museums to safari parks/walks/markets/local attractions/nature spots/shopping/entertainment.

I’m able to drive further out as well.

Thank you! ☺️

Parking enforcement at Worcester Woods?

Whenever I take the kids to WW to ride their bikes we almost always park in the council bit as it's bigger and they can ride around in the empty car park without risking them or anyone else (can't ride where we live much). Seen signs up saying its NHS only or council only but it's always empty when I'm there so are they actually enforcing anything or is it just open at weekends and public holidays?

Blackpole Speed Bumps

Changing the Zebra crossing to a Pelican was the right idea, but the new speed bumps on the approach to the crossing are a nightmare. In a car you can barely reach 15mph and have to try and swerve around them on a bike or motorbike. Whose grand idea was this…

Anyone seen the plans for the park revamps in Ronkswood and Medway Road?

Just saw the council is redoing a few local play areas this summer, including Ronkswood and Medway Road. Apparently one of them is getting a coastal/ship theme which sounds pretty cool. Nice to see some money going into the parks for once. Curious if anyone nearby has seen the actual plans yet and whether they look decent.

28 m looking for a dnd group

Hi, I moved to Worcester about a year ago for work but haven’t had much success meeting new friends in the area. I’d love to find a few nice people to play a regular long term dnd campaign with and hopefully become friends over time too.

I’m a 28 year old gay man, classic nerd, but fairly out going. Looking to have a good laugh and meet some people.

If anyone knows anyone looking for something similar feel free to send a message. It would be nice to get a small group and meet for a drink before diving into anything.

Anyone here studying MA Social Work at Worcester Uni?

I’m thinking about joining the MA Social Work course at University of Worcester and wanted to hear some real student experiences. How’s the teaching, placements, support from lecturers, and overall student life? Would you recommend it?

20 Year Old Moving to Worcester

Hey,

As the title says I am considering making a move to Worcester for work. As I do not know anyone there, I was wondering if Worcester is a good place for 20 year olds to move to.

I would be moving from a large city like Manchester, and would like to still have some social life. Though work will be demanding, an evening drink with a friend, or a cinema date would still be nice to have.

Thanks in advanced

Caught a really nice view of the bridge from the Cathedral grounds!

Took a stroll by the Cathedral earlier and caught this view of Worcester Bridge and the Severn. Even with the gloomy weather, it’s still one of the nicest spots in the city to just sit for a bit. Where's your favorite place to go for peace and quiet around here?

Tom Collins MP has now spoken in Parliament, so that marks the end of this particular series of videos; it is time to review all the things raised that our MP still hasn't raised in Parliament.

Visiting for Elgar Festival - Points of Interest?

Hello!

I put together a trip to Worcester for my partner who plays cello and loves Elgar. We are coming for the Elgar festival and have purchased tickets for some of the performances already! We're very much looking forward to it and but as the day approaches I wanted to get some local insight on a few questions.

  1. Getting around - We're staying outside the city (Google maps says it's a 40-minute walk, an 11-minute drive, and a 30-minute bus ride to get into the city, so a little ways out). Our host recommended using "Woober" which he described as an Uber for the Worcester area. However, googling it I can't get much information, and reddit posts seem a bit dubious about this service. Does anyone have other recommendations or more information about Woober?

  2. Local Favorites - Our host made a number of recommendations for activities that we've already planned to check out (Malvern Hills, March Hare, Red Point, etc.), but these were offered up after I described we loved being active and being outdoors! They don't feel like a Worcester experience as much as just some experiences that are in the area. My partner and I are both active and love to walk and hike. We also like biking, but I just can't seem to find a place to rent bikes that isn't an hour's train ride away. We also both love museums! However, we're really game for anything. I would love to hear any recommendation! If it brings you joy it'll probably bring us joy too

  3. Thoughts on the Elgar Festival - We're already planning to see a number of performances, but any insight to the local festival is welcome!

Thank you for any of your thoughts!
