Apartment Search

My roommate and I are considering moving to a cheaper place. We currently live about 7 minutes from main campus and pay $755 each for rent and $55 each for parking. We're hoping to find somewhere that is closer/same commute time to either main campus or the medical school or somewhere near the Grosse Pointe area (close to her work). Does anyone know of any good places that would be cheaper for us? We are open to a 3 bedroom and finding a third person.

The apartment (or house) must have laundry facilities and allow 2 cats.

Yeah y'all are getting swindled for living so far from campus thats wayyy too much omg. I would check out midtown area along 2nd avenue on Craigslist and even just walk around to scout apartments. Apartments.com is ocassionally good but theres a lot of section 8/slum housing on there, like cathedral towers on John r for example. And all of those posters/ads through wayne state are terrible deals. 

When I look around about a year ago the going rates for studio was 850 ish and two bedroom was around 1200. My sibling lives in a very large basement one bedroom for 900. I domt know how much your situatiom is bc i wasn't looking for three bedrooms at that time. DM if you end up living there and need a roommate

Midtown especially in Cass Corridor. I probably wouldn't go apartment shopping south of MLK
