Trusted and affordable Garages?

Looking to take my car for a service, but just moved to the area and don’t know much about the garages here, can anyone recommend some good ones please? I live in Latchford.

I live in Latchford too but i still go to west end motors in Penketh

Cars R us on Old Liverpool Road. Been going there 20 years. Guys are sound and Ive never been ripped off. Usually a 2 week wait to book in which is a pain but also a good sign.

Autostop on Wilderspool Causeway - used them for years for a few different cars. Honest and reliable.

Woolston Motors. My entire extended family always takes our cars here, it's well priced, the work is excellent and I can't recommend them enough. The owner is called Mark and he's an absolute gent.

Im just using halfords next, got ripped off the last one I went and they broke my tyre sensor

I wouldn’t necessarily trust Halfords, they quoted me a couple of grand once that another mechanic fixed for a few hundred quid

Yeah I had an MOT done at halford last year. Quoted me around 2k so took it to Budjet and they said half of what Halford had quoted me for wasn’t necessary and they’d not even given me advisory’s for. Never again.
