Explorer mod

My beloved explorer had the perfect toolset except the nail file so I sacrificed the small blade that never got used. Ground the edge off, broke the edges all around, and hit one side with a diamond bit to rough it up to about a 1200 grit and then superglued 300 grit on the other side. It’s now more functional than the factory nail file

Good mod. I cut my own files using a checkering file. Victorinox should do something like this or a Companion type.

I’d have liked to have done with with a checkering file. But all I had was time and dremel when the mood struck

Similar to how cutting a slot for toothpick on my Emerson a100 came to be

Understood. We gotta use what we got on hand most times. I liked your approach.

In true SAK style, using what you have when you need it.
